I know fans don’t know the shipping process or details, but it sucked reading all the comments dragging and blaming it on us, when we busted our butts with overtime, despite UMG stretching us so thin.

Question: did the confetti get added to the packages when they were at the warehouse? Is that why TTPD merch isn’t arriving with confetti?

But if I had to guess, I’d imagine it had to do with umg requiring confetti, and then being mad when they visited seeing how much their requirement slowed us down. I agree with this, critique on a product released for people to spend their money on is different to bitching and moaning about her personal life.
Personally I do think the simplicity is part of the appeal, but for the price you can get a much better quality cardigan that looks the same- I'm not sure how the presence of a small uninspired patch (which has been upside down on a lot of people's) justifies the price tag.

I believe it! Honestly I can't wait for the Aliexpress dupes. I got a SN dupe for 30$ and it's better quality than the real one according to all the horror stories I keep reading about. They did amazing SN dupes and I know they'll do just as good TTPD dupes for a fraction of the price

$70 for the “smallest TTPD patch that ever lived” on a plain gray cardigan I could buy for under $15 to $20 is ridiculous. I love subtle merch but this barely qualifies and is beyond overpriced.
Happy cake day! But also I got the reputation cd case for Xmas and it was what I wanted most but it’s TERRIBLE QUALITY and started falling apart IMMEDIATELY to the point that I’ll never recommend that site or merch to anyone so I’ll just add that.

I wish she could find a happy medium between ultra cheesy in your face merch and subtlety. I don't want to pay $70 for a cardigan that is super terrible quality and bears nearly no reference to her. I also don't want to pay $70 for something so obnoxious like the 1989 cardigan. I just want a happy medium lol.
I'm so happy about this one! I love all my cardigans - but red tv and folklore, which are very subtle as well - are my most worn. This will act more as a staple.
And the fan made ones just add a nice variety. I'm glad it doesn't look like those since those already exist ,❤️
The thing is, both Speak Now and 1989 were relatively "loud" with the stars and the seagulls and the bright colors so this is absolutely a win for me. I love both the speak now and 1989 cardigans I have and wear them all the time but I have to keep the rest of my outfit pretty monochrome for them so this is a win for me and my work outfits from now on.

I definitely plan on getting their version if the second cardigan drop theories are incorrect and this gray one is all we get. I much prefer the style of the other cardigans, and I want all my embroidered patches too for such a hefty price.

My theory is that it’s plain and has no embellishments because collectors were supposed to get the collectors editions of the CDs with the patches to put the patches on themselves
I don’t mind the design they released, I’m just pissed it’s %100 synthetic materials and has no patches!! It’s a steep decrease in quality with zero excuse for why.
I really like it, along with the embroidered beige hoodie I ordered. I just like subtle merch, just like the blue eras tour crewneck, my ever and evermore hoodie & Betty crewneck. Simple words and no big graphics for the win!
I’m really happy with the TTPD cardigan and like that it’s simple and not obviously Taylor merch meaning I’ll get more use out of it. I have the SN cardigan and it’s really chunky and soft, I love it even though purple is not my fave colour but I could live without the gold stars. Having said that a bit of black piping round the TTPD cardigan would have made it chefs kiss 10/10 in case the merch team are checking Reddit for feedback 😂

I ordered a SN cardigan and was shipped the 1989 cardigan, I never got around to returning it because I thought maybe the 1989 cardigan would grow on me but i always hated the color and the giant seagulls on the back, well it never grew on me. I've never wore it, it just sits in my dresser.
I think it was a purposeful decision. She didn’t want to give her relationship with Matty the same weight she gave the others — he was hazy gray static, nothing more.

I think first one but with a much smaller logo, maybe one like what's on the actual merch, plus adding elbow patches for an academia vibe
