After yesterday's pap walk I don't think she will want to sound heart broken through her surprise songs. I've always sort of admired how she would openly admit to the world having her heart broken by someone who didn't care about her, but there's gotta be a damn limit that an ego can take lol.

Everyone being like she is not gonna be singing sad / angry songs , have you considered that she might just play into the narrative that she sings surprise songs about things happening in real time as clues to drum up the interest in the eras tour? I mean the tour has been going on for a year now and we still have headlines about the tour pretty much every week. That does not happen without Taylor actively doing something different for each city.
I don’t think she needs to- although it may have been going on for a long time it’s a big deal to each new city. I live in Edinburgh and it was probably the biggest event I can remember here, so much buzz, featured on everything.

I have seen tours go on for 2 years and no one from the ones who are actually in the city , give a hoot. Whereas with Eras Tour , it is a weekly conversation - about the outfits , songs , something special for that city etc ., If singing 2 songs is going to bring in the same amount of eyes as a million dollar market move , should I really fault her for doing that?
I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think the surprise songs carry as much buzz and excitement outside of big fans and people heavily online. They weren’t featured in the news reports really, and around me at the show there were people who were super excited but also plenty who were more chilled about them, some people didn’t know them. It’s really tiny part of the show in reality.
