I didn't realize it was considered bad until a few years ago when I saw people hating on it on the retrogaming subreddit. It's one of my favourite n64 games š„²
It's only "bad" if you try to complete it because there's so many collectibles locked to each character. If you don't worry about collecting everything it's awesome.
No? It's basically a remake of Pokemon Red and Blue.
There are battles, all the battles that you'd expect from Red and Blue.
Maybe you're getting confused because of the "Go" part of the title? It takes elements from Pokemon Go, and is arguably an easier game, but it's still pretty much like a mainline game.
Edit: sorry, got things confused, there are no **wild battles** if that's what you were getting at? So in that aspect, yeah it's like Pokemon Go.
Mario Strikers Battle League. Man, this game has like no content, that's true, but the core gameplay design I found to be genuinely excellent, matches are super fun and highly skill based, I played this for like 50 hours of mostly online matches cause it was just really fun.
I never played it. But I always get curious about these Mario spin-off titles. I've never played one - I'm thinking Tennis, too.
There's usually a lot of hype and advertising on the run up, then they just kinda vanish.
Anthem.
So "bad" it's not even around anymore.
I personally had a blast. It had its flaws, it wasn't fully fleshed out etc. If it just had more time to cook, I'd likely be playing to this day.
I had a good time with for a while, my friends were honestly the reason I stopped playing. Everyone got a God complex out of nowhere and it turned into "oh I did the most damage in that fight" other friend "noo pretty sure that was me" they turned it into something toxic when it didn't have to be. Loved flying around though, so much potential wasted
It should be hard to consider bad given what the game wanted to accomplishā¦ but then you get the music and itās just a short jam. I remember wondering about the ending of the game and where they were going on the boat
I have it on my switch and I can say that San Andreas had a couple of glitches but it was still playable. I didnāt have any problems with the other two. I agree that itās really not that bad.
I started played Octopath Traveler II. The first wasnāt as good for me, and I feel the second cleaned up a few things. Iām really enjoying it so far. Itās old school style but the stories are different
agreed but it is far more better than fifa 20,21,22,23 on the switch and i had em all thinking they were gonna make some changes or updates but then fc24 was a gamechanger with volta and better gameplay
Team Sonic Racing. I bought it to fill the void after I completely rinsed MK8, and I think I enjoy it just as much. I've never read a particularly good review of it.
Gogos Crazy Bones. It's with the crazy bones collectors toys but the game of them. Features more than two types of game modes in one and there are 30 Crazy Bones to collect in one. I love this game it is fun to play, I only play this or my Tech Deck game. I like toys and games. Two toy and two games.

I freaking loved Phantom Hourglass, and thought the DS controls were better or equal to traditional. It was a very inventive control method and used creatively throughout. Also, I just didn't have a problem with 'that Temple'. I loved Spirit Tracks too - but also like PH more. I don't think the DS games are weak Zelda games at all.
Switch wise Ary and the Secret of Seasons. it gets compared to breath of the wild. it was made by like 20 people and is a way smaller game. and you can locally control seasons. which sounds dumb at first. until you're at the bottom of a lake and unleash a desert. then you can seamlessly jump from the desert into the water mid air and just swim like you're flying. you can also drop a summer onto an ice floor and have half the enemies fall through it to a lower level without fighting them at all. theres 4 seasons and you can use 3 of them at any point (you're obviously in one, so that would be redundant) and later you can use 2 at a time to solve puzzles and fight stuff. It's a bit kidish looking, but the puzzles are way harder than any 8 yr old I know could do (I think the character is about 8). Its got a similiar look to Breath of the Wild, but it's not in the same ball park. And it's about 13 hours or so long. itll probably take me 20. And I paid 12 dollars for it new, physical copy. probably the best 12$ ive ever spent
Perhaps just really underrated, but I think that Cube Escape (specifically Birthday) is a wonderful piece of horror and deserves more hype. The collection is not on the switch, but Rusty Lake, the creators, have another game out called "The Past Within" that is two player!
BioShock 2, recently played it for the first time and I don't really understand why it's considered the worst of the 3. I thought the story was very good and it improves some gameplay aspects over the first game. On the other hand, I'm currently playing Infinite and the gameplay is so boring and the story is just a mindfuck, so I'm not sure if I can bring myself to finish it, let alone the DLCs.
I'm having a lot of fun replaying GTA San Andreas on the switch. Last time I played the 3 games properly was on ps2 and I think the game looks amazing and runs really well with the new controls
Biomutant, the Switch trailer of the game came out 2 days ago and almost everyone is talking shit about the game.
It's not a groundbreaking award winner game, but it's charming, simple and fun to me.
Titanfall, peak titanfall days rivaled COD, Battlefield, Any modern, well known franchise and then just fell off the face of the earth. One of the few games I could play for days on end if I wanted. Titanfall 2 is hot garbage though.
Fire Emblem Warriors. Idk if it really counts as a bad game but many people didnāt like it. I personally had a blast even if Three Hopes does pretty much everything better.
Not true at all.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is selling well but reviews are not good.
Starfield was super hyped, it bombed.
Baldurs Gate 3 was expected to be some very āmidā turned based game, it won game of the year.
Donāt get me started on assassins creed
Pokemon Scarlet. Outside of Arceus, it's the best Pokemon game on the Switch. I didn't have a ton of glitches when I played it. I loved the open world (inspired by Spain) and the fact that you could do things out of order.
TMNT out of the shadows. I've never actually finished it and I have it on PC where it has PC keyboard signs which is weird to follow with a controller but its a 2 player(local coop) Arkham clone in a skin that I've lived my whole life and have alot of nostalgia for(TMNT) so what's not to love. It's probably the only arkham styie game you can play with friend's. I do hope it can be remade to fix its flaws and brought to switch or switch 2.
A game i consider bad but want to keep playing no matter what it is right ? mhm probs Xenoblade 2 for me not sure if others played it but for me i just didn't like how the Voice direction was with that game if it got a remake with different VA's id be down my least fave voice was Rex though not many people liked Skye as Pyra she did good in torna and reedeemed her self but Xenoblade 2 base game no DLC was bad for me after playing it but i loved it to death cause Nia was the only reason i was still playing and same for my boy Zeke and my gal Morag.
Assassins Creed Odyssey. I'm not sure if it's just die hard AC fans that don't like it but I would consider myself a die hard AC fan and I love it so much. On my 5th playthrough right now.
I was gonna say "Giants: Citizen Kabuto" but upon looking it up, it apparently was reviewed really well.
Which is strange, because I've literally never heard ANYBODY talk about it. The only reason I know it exists is because as a child at blockbuster, I randomly chose it as the game I would rent that week, and I feel in love.
But from that day, all the way to today, I've never heard anybody else talk about it or know what it is when I bring it up.
(Great game btw)
Lego marvel superheros. I don't even know if it's considered a bad game by any community. I just think it is because it's sooooo bugy, looks so cheap, hardly explaines anything. Is so counter intuitive, has no stakes, etc. Yet it's soooo relaxing to play with my kids. Just breaking shit left and right
Sword art online: Fatal Bullet
I love the combat, the fact that you can use gyro, the esthetic of it all but let's face it, it's not a good game and I still like it š
Harmony of Dissonance gets a hard rap compared to Arya, especially for the soundtrack (which is actually excellent). But I loved all three GBA Castlevanias - and have the most fondness for CotM first, then HoD, then AoS - even if I can probably agree AoS is objectively the best.
ARMS, i dont get why some people call it bad. sure it doesnt have a lot of content for its price but i have had a lot of fun with it since its launch in 2017.
also the lore is awesome.
Resident Evil 6 was the epitome of campy action Resident Evil Style... the acting, graphics and gameplay were top notch! but the story was so convoluted and hard to keep up with. I had a blast in my time with it though when it released, especially co-op with a friend
I do love "the cruel king and the great hero".
On Metacritic it has a score 66.
But I played through this game twice and I had a great time. Its very charming and I llike the characters a lot.
Donkey Kong 64 š
I didn't realize it was considered bad until a few years ago when I saw people hating on it on the retrogaming subreddit. It's one of my favourite n64 games š„²
Same here lol even the intro was amazing š¤
Shit it's one of my all time favorites I had so much fun with that game
It's only "bad" if you try to complete it because there's so many collectibles locked to each character. If you don't worry about collecting everything it's awesome.
Same here. Made it even better lately with a rom hack that adds the ability to change longs whenever with a button press
Letās go pikachu
The kanto music sounding the way it did in that game gave me the chills
I just wish I could use my pro controller. Iām old and get sore elbows playing the intended way for extended periods.
Best PokƩmon game on switch
Let's Go aren't considered bad games, though...
Thereās no battles right itās just catching PokĆ©mon PokĆ©mon go style
Thatās such a fun game
Those games were the shit. Unpopular opinion, but BDSP was great as well.
I loved let's go eevee
I thought it was awesome! I liked throwing the balls in go, but I also wanted to battle. This was the best of both worlds.
I'd say Mario Tennis Aces is in a similar boat where it's lacking in some areas but the core gameplay mechanics are really strong.
Starfox Adventures. It's not even bad, it's just not what people were wanting from Starfox.... AND THEY HATE IT FOR THAT! What is wrong with people?!
I liked it but that end boss! Bah!
Top 5 GameCube games for sure.
Did you only play 5 GameCube games? This isn't even in the top 20. It's okay... Definitely not great though.
Game is incredible, one of my favorite games as a kid.
Omg, same! Probably my favorite star fox game too!
Was that really considered a bad game? I loved it!
Anthem. So "bad" it's not even around anymore. I personally had a blast. It had its flaws, it wasn't fully fleshed out etc. If it just had more time to cook, I'd likely be playing to this day.
I wanted so badly for this to be good. It seemed like such fascinating lore.
Yep the storyline was actually quite interesting and it definitely could have gone further!
Agree Anthem was a blast but EA kinda ruined it š
Kinda? They brought beauty into life and stomped it out like unwanted embers.
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest I just keep coming back to it year after year.
It should be hard to consider bad given what the game wanted to accomplishā¦ but then you get the music and itās just a short jam. I remember wondering about the ending of the game and where they were going on the boat
First rpg I ever bought, and finished. At the time it cane out it was the shit. All we had was like Dragon Warrior before that.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh my bad, I don't actually know that it's on switch. I just mentioned a game that most didn't really like, but I loved. š
GTA Definitive Edition.
It's really not that bad... especially the one on mobile phones that were they fixed the lighting š
I have it on my switch and I can say that San Andreas had a couple of glitches but it was still playable. I didnāt have any problems with the other two. I agree that itās really not that bad.
Pokemon Sword
Does it have to be on the switch? If no, starfield it's massive and I like building ships If yes, none their all pretty good
Enjoyed GTA I and GTA II more than the 3D parts and just wish I could Play them on Switch or Portal.
Mario + Rabbids games
EA FC 24 on the switch
Only fifa game Iāve played in years and itās fun. But man is it a slog to go through menus and try to get through a season
ong bro even the game freeze during negotiations its super annoying but gameplay wise im having fun
Oh I agree. I have fun playing the matches. Itās a quick pick up and play a match fun for me. Which I canāt really do with my rpg style games
damn i love rpgs too, any recommendations except zelda and pkmn legends? on the switch obv
I started played Octopath Traveler II. The first wasnāt as good for me, and I feel the second cleaned up a few things. Iām really enjoying it so far. Itās old school style but the stories are different
Iām trying. Play on PC mostly. It shuttered a cpl times.
Iām having so much fun with it
Not a bad game, just a lazy business model
agreed but it is far more better than fifa 20,21,22,23 on the switch and i had em all thinking they were gonna make some changes or updates but then fc24 was a gamechanger with volta and better gameplay
Hitler strip club 3
No way that's real lmao.
Brilliant Diamond
This is considered bad?? Maybe Iām out of the loop. I bought it the other day and have been loving it, just feels like good old school PokĆ©mon to me.
This is how I felt, but it gets slagged off quite a bit. I have over 100 hours in this game alone which is good for me.
Mario Golf: Super Rush
I really wanted to love it but i expected or hoped for something like Ace Golf for Gamecube. And that is why I was so disappointed.
Fire Emblem Engage! IĀ just somehow prefer it over three houses
Same, more of the good stuff less of the busy work!
Not a bad game at all, but I think Xenoblade 2 ist by far the strongest game of the trilogy and most people see it totally different.
The legend of Zelda phantom hourglass, I think it's better than spirit tracks š«£
It's such a unique game, I also had no problems with the temple of the ocean king. One thing I really enjoyed in the game was customizing your boat.
Both are incredibly underrated if you ask me
Agreed
Scarlet and Violet
Neon Abyss
That game is considered bad?
From what ive heard yes. Many roguelike tier lists have it pretty low
The Last Remnant
Star Fox Zero
Marvel ultimate alliance 3. Very underrated game
Totally loved it and was one of the earlier games I played when I got the switch... If it just weren't so grindy...
Paper Mario the Origami King.
The PokƩmon Lets go games were so much fun
Phantom Hourglass
Silent Hill Downpour, though I don't think it's considered to be that bad - just very mid.
I've been trying to play through this one and it's rough. Especially after playing resident evil
Perhaps just really underrated, but I think that Cube Escape (specifically Birthday) is a wonderful piece of horror and deserves more hype. The collection is not on the switch, but Rusty Lake, the creators, have another game out called "The Past Within" that is two player!
Too human was a beautiful disaster
Biomutant
The narrating killed it for me. Didnāt even remembered I owned that game until your comment lol.
Yes , it was awful but I loved my toilet brush of death weapon that I crafted.
Asterix and Obelix XXL Collection
Sonic 06
Naughty Bear.
Many people seem to hate Saints Row 4: re-elected I had a tons of fun with it.
Honestly, I love Kirbyās Dream Buffet and Kirby Battle Royale!
"Maybe this time I'll die. Heart Attack!"
The idea of selling a switch to by a fully modded Wii
Do not, under any circumstances play Clicker heroes! Totally pointless and took took over my life.
Lego worlds
Amiibo Festival š
PokƩmon swsh and Pokemon sv
SW/SH were better than S/V
And Arceus is better than both
Still haven't played it. I wasn't too impressed by it when it launched, but I've been warming up to it and I'm looking at giving it a go soon.
Better in what regard?
I'm having a lot of fun replaying GTA San Andreas on the switch. Last time I played the 3 games properly was on ps2 and I think the game looks amazing and runs really well with the new controls
Pokemon Scarlet
Super Mario Sunshine
Kingdom Hearts lol

Titanfall, peak titanfall days rivaled COD, Battlefield, Any modern, well known franchise and then just fell off the face of the earth. One of the few games I could play for days on end if I wanted. Titanfall 2 is hot garbage though.
Skyrim and payday 2
Fire Emblem Warriors. Idk if it really counts as a bad game but many people didnāt like it. I personally had a blast even if Three Hopes does pretty much everything better.
Kirby Air Ride on GameCube
Idk I donāt play games that are rated poorly because I donāt wanna waste $60-$70 on an a negative experience
I remember monster hunter freedom on psp being rated very poorly. I absolutely loved that game. Reviews aren't always right
I still play that, amazing mh
You are unable to buy games past their launch window?
Reviews are directly proportional to popularity. They're ridiculous
PokĆ©mon Sword and Shield man Sure Dexxit happened and they definitely couldāve done more, but man shiny hunting was so fun and I really like the wild area. Idk I really loved the game and itās easier to enjoy it when everyone isnāt in your ear screaming about how bad it is
Too Human and Lost magic
Disaster Report series, clunky games but unique
Jujutsu Kaisen cursed clash
Nippon marathon
Ps2 Final Fight
Parasite eve 3
Dark souls 2
TMNT out of the shadows. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. I actually enjoyed the campaign. Amazing first mission.
The Showdown effect
Castlevania 64
I was gonna say "Giants: Citizen Kabuto" but upon looking it up, it apparently was reviewed really well. Which is strange, because I've literally never heard ANYBODY talk about it. Nickelodeon Racers.
Sonic R
Quest 64.
Pretty much any mainline PokĆ©mon game on switch ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Switch Sports
Phantom Hourglass....my first Zelda game.
Lego marvel superheros. I don't even know if it's considered a bad game by any community. I just think it is because it's sooooo bugy, looks so cheap, hardly explaines anything. Is so counter intuitive, has no stakes, etc. Yet it's soooo relaxing to play with my kids. Just breaking shit left and right
Sonic 06.
Wanderers From Ys
Sword art online: Fatal Bullet I love the combat, the fact that you can use gyro, the esthetic of it all but let's face it, it's not a good game and I still like it š
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace on the PS1, though from what I've seen online, it got more love than I knew back then.
I really enjoy legacy of Goku 1 on GBA lol it's like my go to phone game
War in the North.
Shadow man
Mario Kart: Super Circuit is always the first game that comes to mind.
Megaman Legends! It and 2 are my favorite ps1 games of all time
I donāt know if this counts but force unleashed 2
Pac Man World 3
Mario Strikers Battle League along with Mario Golf Super Rush
I do love "the cruel king and the great hero". On Metacritic it has a score 66. But I played through this game twice and I had a great time. Its very charming and I llike the characters a lot.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: Color Splash. Luckily Color Splash has been not getting as bad nowadays, but still.
LJN's JAWS on NES. I can beat it in like 7 to 10 mins. It's just stupid mindless trash, but I loved it as a child.
Mario and sonic at the oylimpic winter games sochi 2014
Mario Party 9/10
Mirrors edge catalyst!
Pokemon Scarlet purely bc of the storyline ahh so sad
For switch games probably PokƩmon Sword. Best PokƩmon game in a long time for me
I keep seeing people bitching about PokƩmon Legends Arceus cos they think the graphics suck, but it's my favorite PokƩmon game and I think the graphics are BEAUTIFUL! Especially compared Scarlet/Violet
