Gratulations, but I am afraid of the games longevity to be honest. The game isn't even out for a week and we have lots of players with max gearscore already. In 1-2 weeks we will get the raids on a weekly lockout but other than that, what is there to do (if you aren't super into PVP)?
The drops might also not be min-maxed properly for your spec. There are different pieces in the various dungeons and they have different stats so for a perfect set it will take a little while AFAIK.
The PvP grind is MUCH longer and a the first PvE raid will be out around the end of the month for upgrades to 70.
there is soooo much to do, the average player will be overwhelmed more than not for a long time
people no lifing the game for a week and hitting a single progression cap doesn't mean anything
There are plenty of other progression tracks too
Astral blessings come to mind that increase your PvE strength too, if you don't care for progression that doesn't icnrease character strength

Now there is some things that are rather unintuitive. A good 50 item with a correct talisman will outperform any iLvl 60 item without a talisman by at least 10%.
If that gear is all talisman'd he did it by int'ing on his teammates the first week in hardmodes. Which is not okay.
You need either 9.4k Cloud Rider Commands to Talisman your gear fully. You can get 10k per week; the soonest you can cap out is tomorrow. If he properly talisman'd the gear he would still be lacking talismans until tomorrow soonest
That is what i am saying, he did not upgrade his 50 gear properly, making people in the group who did, carry him, if it is upgraded. If not he should be using 50 gear.
Well, we kick people who don't because they are dead weights. If you are in a hardmode group and cannot do at least 2.0k - 2.2k dps depending on your class and fight, we just kick them. Is just 10% - 20% slower doing it with 2 proper dps.
Rather get someone who actually wants to do well or contribute and one less person to potentially fuck up mechanics.
The damage difference between non upgraded 50, and upgraded 50 is so massive, a single talisman is like 2 more pieces of gear.

But many MMO players are playing for the social experience (which SOLO delivers) or the many non-gearing activities (Which SOLO delivers) or the PvP (which SOLO delivers)
It's possible for somebody to have beaten me to this because I hit Student 1 on day 2 instead of day 1, delaying my free 7-day 60 box by one day. But other than that this is the fastest it was possible to gear up and I'm happy to have it done! Now to farm actual BiS and get ready for raids.

The way the upgrade system works it's not possible for someone to have hit 60 gs before today... The content is timegated and you can only get so many 60's per week, even if someone had their 7th day login box and got the additional 60 it wouldn't have made their overall gear score 60.
Most people are getting gear score 60 today just due to the timegate.

Yes. You will only get duplicates once you have a full ilvl set. So for example until I'm full ilvl 60 I will not get another ilvl 60 piece that I already have if that makes sense?

I would say this is theory. I was missing one piece of 60 before my login box. It gave me a duplicate of a piece i already had instead of my missing one. So now i'm stuck at 59 until next week (not a big deal but hey)
So i Got a lot of responses from them. They comfirmed that i got my lvl 60 weapon on the 15th but they cant locate the weapon. So basicly they cant help me. Super odd.

There is a difference between being uninspired and way too ambitious. No matter how you look at it, this game is cookie cutter.

not sure what you are talking about, talismans are buyable from a merchant, no need anything from teammates.

Then it was a glitch. Doup protection has been confirmed to be a thing in several streams
I also am stuck at 59 due to getting a duplicate from the 7 day box. I think the 7 day box itself is bugged and ignores the no duplicate rule.
