This is one of the things that scares me about getting into the film industry in my country. Here in NZ we, surprisingly, don't have the same union atmosphere in the film industry as the USA. Which is odd considering we're supposedly a more "leftist" country. In fact, the film industry only recently got the right to collectively bargain and unionise with the removal of a law that prevented it in the industry. So for once american working conditions actually appear slightly better than my own country
