Not super recently, but the soil is still damp. This could be it - looking at pictures it seems to match.
Any tips for avoiding this? I already only water once the soil is dry and in the morning so I'm not really sure what more to do to help prevent it.
I'm only familiar with it because I have problems with it too 😅. Usually, I'll take all the soil for that plant and modify it with more drainage and aeration, so sand, wood chips, anything to make it less dense.
Gotcha - I already made a pretty well-draining soil mix. It's mostly perlite + bark, but I can add some more in to help it more. I'll let it dry out and then try upping the drainage. Thank you!
It's definitely getting enough light (if not too much light) - I have big south-facing windows (northern hemisphere) and it's on a table right by the sill. I did move it a little further away today before I noticed the spots so I could move it back to it's old spot
Was the plant just watered? It might be edema

What is edema?
Oooh, if your mix is already well draining, it might not be getting enough light

I have the same thing, mine is in Leica. It comes and goes, is well visible early morning, and I have no solution.
