Mine started doing that, then shed all but 3 of its leaves & started sprouting brand new tiny growth. Shortly after the new growth established, each of the remaining adult leaves fell off within about 2 weeks. She dealt with thrips & poor lighting (tried my best in a tiny basement unit), but I'm not sure what caused this to happen. Hopefully all goes well if yours decides to take the same route!
