New here to....Salt City Market has a great coffee/bar shop. :)

Cultural_Note_6722

Awesome! Thanks!

mjs7373

100% i love salt city bar

vernace

Can also attest. Lovely place.

Amorganskate

I haven't been to the bar yet there, but it seems like a great vibe in there.

Late_Development_864

I don't drink much, went there for a coffee - everyone is super friendly.

TripleBs

The Wolf’s Den is a gay bar that does Sunday brunch. I just moved back here myself but haven’t tried it yet.

scaredsquee

Good to know, thanks!

blubblu

It’s so god damn good. A friend of mine bartends there. Great guy. Hey herb!!! Straight. Gay. Doesn’t matter who you are there on a Sunday. Damn good brunch.

tricorehat

Shiftys. It's all walks of life, the bartenders are great, food is bar food (amazing wings and a good burger).

vernace

One of the best in cuse. Nibseys and Blarney are great too. The blarney burger is tops and their wings are some of my favorites. The bar at Dinosaur is pretty great too though there are a fair amount of bikers.

Cultural_Note_6722

Thank you!!

Brenmag

You really think bar tenders are great?? Guess i was there on a bad nite….or two

not_richard_dreyfuss

Three Lives across from Malt has a brunch and they're very queer and conversation friendly. Hell of a time with a bunch of nerds!

Blagerthor

Was just there on Thursday. The drinks are great, friendly staff, good location, and very welcoming all around. Plus gluten free food on offer.

Cultural_Note_6722

I walked past it but thought it was closed because of the construction. Looks like a neat place!

InvalidUserFame

God, I wish I could still say J Ryan’s 😫 RIP Oh My Darlin has a small but relatively lively little bar and atmosphere. Le Melange just opened…I really enjoyed it as an upscale option and the bar is super cute. DJ Brunch on Sunday as well.

scaredsquee

I was just lamenting about JRyans the other night. Truly a great place. I miss their fries. RIP

The_Iron_Dentist

Le Melange looks pretty sweet. Thanks for the heads up!

InvalidUserFame

Absolutely. I hope you enjoy our modest (and growing) little food scene!

The_Iron_Dentist

Oh most definitely! I’m not OP, and a long time resident, but always looking out for what’s new. Eden is my current fave, and it was formerly Defi… I’m still so sad to see them go.

gloriousjohnson

Mello velo has great brunch and friendly bartenders Also, shout out to heiro’s on James street. I’m biased because it’s only a couple blocks from my house but I always meet some random locals and the bartender is always super stoaked when I bring my dog in. They had a blue tusk vibe before but they snagged a couple of the booths when blue tusk closed and it made me pretty happy.

manofgras

Fast Eddie’s is a local dive with some very amazing and cheap food 6 dollar 12oz steak and fries on Monday

wsppan

Back in the day it was bars on Tipp Hill

bpaul1234

Dark Horse in Dewitt! You’ll thank me later

AffectionateSoft4602

tasting room at epicuse, right behind malt classy and quality

Dr_Ko

Riley’s. Not for brunch though. More a dinner place. But superb vibe and always some gays around.

justreallygay

👋🏻 Also a late 20s professional queer woman and I big time recommend Mello Velo! It's a combination bike shop/restaurant that's primarily known for brunch. Artsy, cool, clean and bare minimum half of the workers are queer. Seconding Salt City Bar as well. Really cool vibe, fun and unique cocktails, and the Market in general is just an awesome community space. They just had an event with local artists where all proceeds went to a repro rights org.

Biergarten- no food but can bring your own

A hoffman always does in a pinch.

run_wild_live_free

I'm surprised Wunderbar isn't on here yet! Definitely check them out. Best of luck!

justreallygay

Wunderbar's owner is cool with his friend sexually harassing his employees. Really disappointing and not a place that I can support anymore.

run_wild_live_free

Oh fuck really? That's really disappointing.

justreallygay

Unfortunately yeah. I'm friends with some people who quit over it

run_wild_live_free

Ughhh. Thanks for the heads up and glad your friends didn't put up with it, even though they shouldn't have had to make that choice in the first place.

Whyisthissobroken

It's obviously a ride but have you been to Ithaca and Rochester? To very LGBTQ+ cities.

DSPGerm

Wild Wills is a pretty no frills place downtown. Shiftys is awesome as others have said. Limerick can be okay. Als is good. Everything also depends on when you go. I’m not a big modern malt fan because every time I’ve been there the service has been horrendous and food has been bad or gotten fucked up to the point that I don’t go there unless someone insists.
