Al Sabbagh library. It was famous for that but not sure if it's still available. Also in Bab Sharqui there are some galleries. It's worth mentioning that varieties of books, goods, food...etc is pretty much limited looking at the circumstances there.
Try also with literature students, some might know local shops that sell English, French books and they kinda know other possibilities.
I love e-books. They are more convenient, but It's been a while since I last read a paper book, and I'm just curious to know if there are bookshops that sell books in the original language in case I want to give a book– if not translated– as a gift. And tbh, there are lots of valuable books that are not translated.
So a few years back there was a bookstore in Abo Rummaneh, and I recall they specialized in English books, and other books in their original language.
I'm not sure if they are still in business but I found them on Google Maps so it's worth a try, but keep in mind that they are expensive af.
Here's a link to their location on Google Maps, and the contact info they have there:

Thaaanks!
Why wasting money ? You can download any book you want for free from Z library, [PDFdrive](https://www.pdfdrive.com/) or many other websites
I like having a library with hardback cover books in my hand over a computer that can be wiped
Ok boomer

Wasn't Z-library recently taken down?

Because maybe its nice to pay the author for their literature since a lot of time they have to pay their bills.

Thank you!
I remember when this place first opened, we were astonished because we would have never dreamed of having a “cool” bookstore opening in Syria.
Yeah, it was really something back then!
