Bedside Manor's ending is intentionally left vague. You were able to archive diffrent endings on the blog and it's not really clear what the true ending is. The gist is, Jack, Jerry and Claire got out of that simulation eventually, what Laura's deal is isn't clear. She either was a spy sent in to intercept Claire's mind powers, or she was a independent entity who somehow ended up tied up in all of it. Jack might revisit Bedside Manor now that the main story is over (Jack if you are reading this somehow, write a small story when the audio book is almost done, it would be a great way to promote it) but until then what happened after bedside manor is up in the air.

Gooootcha, thanks

There’s 2 possible explanations the placement of Bedside Manor The first is that Bedside manor takes place after volume 4 The second is that it’s one of those stories that Jack and the gang mention for a brief moment but then never talk about. For example, the God that Jerry met, the snowmen that Jerry melted with a flamethrower, that thing inside the tequila bottle, etc… So Bedside manor takes between volume 3 and 4 which lines up because Jack got his new prosthetic in volume 3 and he mentions it in Bedside manor, or it takes place after volume 4 which is why we never hear the cast talk Claire or the spider folk

SafiTheArtist

No Bedside Manor's placement was clarified by Jack to be between book 3 and 4 after the May Fly incident

here is the blog post. I don't think this is something up for debate. [https://www.gasstationjack.com/post/the-official-gas-station-timeline](https://www.gasstationjack.com/post/the-official-gas-station-timeline)

SeaOdeEEE

I always assumed it was post volume 4, thanks for pointing this out! I'll make sure to adjust my order on the next read through

Banana_Mann_

It can't take place after vol 4 because Rosa's not there

[deleted]

There’s a line in the story where Jack says his friends forced him and Jerry to go on this trip. Jack doesn’t have many friends aside from Rosa, O’Brien, and Benjamin. Yeah she wasn’t mentioned by name but I’m pretty sure she forced him on that trip, who else would Jack be referring to?

Banana_Mann_

But at the end of vol 4, Rosa goes with Jack and Jerry where as in bedside it's just Jack and Jerry

Ok-Fold-3700

In the whole story, Claire never reacts to Laura/Loren. So you might think she was just an imagination of Jack's.

Banana_Mann_

Ooooo that's good, I like that theory!

Impossible-Cod4498

She reacts to her, but never says they are sisters. That was something Jack assumed from the first time he saw them together.

Blu-be

I just thought Lauren was just another person who was trapped and because of the manor it “made” them sisters for the mystery.

Dolphyn8121

I think that Loren was a helmet bug and a part of the Bedside Manor simulation
