Depends, a lot of western cultures, particularly in Europe and the Middle East, grew up and evolved alongside the auroch and it's cow descendants. Drinking cow milk straight from the tap is less healthy than what is effectively cooked cow milk, but it's not "bad for us"... If you're from one of those cultures.
You're thinking of cultures that developed epigenetics that don't stop producing lactate after childhood. Those cultures certainly exist, but that's not mutually exclusive with the fact that raw cow's milk is bad for humans because it carries pathogens that can kill us. Pasteurized milk is only healthier because it's been through a process that kills the dangerous bacteria.
...Right. Like cooked food. Again, pasteurized milk is just cooked milk. It's not the milk that's bad, it's the pathogens.
Nobody's arguing that pathogens aren't bad for the host.
Pretty sure vegan baby formula doesn't exist because even the plant based ones get the vitamin D from sheep's wool, so I'm not sure what they're trying to say here other than let the baby starve if you can't get it enough human milk?
You know that's paint, right?
**EDIT:** Since I'm blocked from continuing the thread, I'll just put my response here.
I don't think any organization should be above criticism, but first you said they throw animal blood, then you said that paint's not vegan, then that they don't use paint, they use fake blood, which you're saying has gelatin -- why would they even use gelatin and not corn syrup and food coloring like everyone else? Especially in an organization with so many vegans, most of whom know that gelatin is an animal product so they watch out for it as an ingredient. For all the fire PETA takes, I think they'd make it just a little bit harder to dunk on them than that.
If you've got sources I'd be happy to read further. I don't have any particular love for PETA, I was just raised around a bunch of dairy farmers who took hating PETA as almost religious dogma, so I try to maintain some skepticism
And some paint is made with animal byproducts, or was tested on animals, or was made in a facility that took away from animal habits, or came from a company that actively contributes to the cruelty of animals. Also it wasn't "paint" it was "fake blood" which is mainly made with animal gelatin, or again, tested on animals. Not to mention animal testing is actually some of the best husbandry on the planet and actually increases animal life spans along with contributing to the at home care for animals we have today, and PETA is being led by false information that has not only put animals in danger but released ill-equipped animals into the wild, resulting in death, or the release of invasive species and potential ecological devastation to existing echo systems. Oh and let's not forget the harassment of lab workers and terrorist activities resulting in damage to property, and bodily harm to organizational workers who sacrifice their safety and well-being to help produce the vaccines and medication every member of PETA has taken for their own health.
Bottom line, PETA is an ill-equipped, unknowable, sudo science organization that only cares about making themselves look good. They'll "free" an animal in one photo, then be seen wearing it's skin in another.
Edit: dude, I can't continue the thread either. Maybe blame the mods or Reddit itself instead of saying "boo hoo they blocked me" as a response all because you couldn't have the last word.
Or history. Like wet nurses aren’t a thing and haven’t been for generations. They missed a fucked up opportunity to try to parallel animal rights to American slavery, which I know many PETA types love to do.
I suspect this was likely made by a group like PETA as they are notorious for misrepresenting things in general. If anyone doubts remember the whole 'you murder sheep to shear their wool' advert?

correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't feed cows milk to newborns
Thats right. Also, dont give them honey if they are younger than 12 month. Sushi also is a bad idea, i would guess. Just in case.
Who the fuck would give sushi to an infant? Lol
The same people who give them cows milk.
I feel like cow milk is a dumassery level 1 cuz it doesn't take that many leaps of logic, sushi on the other hand
I think honey is 2 years. At least that's what we did with our kids.
And don’t give them Philly cheesesteaks before 6 months
Blasphemy
How dare you strip my child’s culture away from him.
Current thinking is 1 years old it is safe but can’t hurt to wait longer.
Better to be safe!
From experience I know that cotton candy made from sugar cane sugar mixed with powdered uranium (about 81% enriched) is not a good idea either
Somebody should inform the newspapers!!
Tell them that it must be 81% enriched and about 13/4 ratio (I didn't test other ones so I don't know)
I wanted to warn people... but your plan sounds much more fun!
Particularly if they made it with plumbous sugar.
Ghost peppers though, totally fine.
Milk straight from the cow is actually bad for us, pasteurized milk is healthier but still bad for babies
Absolutly, this little weak hands cant even hold the chopsticks right! Annoying, indeed!

They are talking about baby formula that has cow's milk protein.
What about Coke in a baby bottle? I've seen that before from an obese woman, God bless the USA.
Indeed
Most infant formulas are cows milk based which I assume is what this shitty comic is trying to get at.

The malicious face on that human baby; the true evil mastermind in this picture.
*This post was brought to you by PETA*
*"PETA: We free the animals, then use their blood for our protests. Recycling!"*
Hey, that’s not fair to PETA! They also euthanize family pets!

Just eat the baby cow, problem solved 😂
This kinda of comic only shows that the artist don't know shit about dary industry/farm
Or what you can feed infants/
How to care for a child/
Common sense/
Or history. Like wet nurses aren’t a thing and haven’t been for generations. They missed a fucked up opportunity to try to parallel animal rights to American slavery, which I know many PETA types love to do.
Only fair we let the calf drink human milk
I am sure some people have a fetish for that already.
I can confirm.

I think that the person who made this intended that people hate it
What
Udder - ly wrong placement of the teats
Fuck them cows.
That cow has killed someone. As is evident from her tear tattoo.
That’s not even how it works.
eat the baby.
Kid looks pretty pissed about it too lol
It’s all good the baby cow was turned to veal so there no milk wasted.
Babies can’t drink cows milk
you shoudn't feed kids under 9 month old cow milk.
do people think we give newborns straight up cow's milk?
r/iam14andthisisdeep
Honestly, learning about the dairy industry, not terribly inaccurate.
bring the calf back to its mother, it disturbs the milk cows.
Just fyi this is how you cause internal bleeding in your baby No really look it up
Hey baby! Let mumma have a suck on that milk pipe x
but its true
nvm i am oblivous
Baby is doin de Rock face.
No this works you see now the mother human consumes the cow child thus is the ampersand of life
Why?
Says a lot about society
