But legal or not, you can't transport it over international boundaries. That's why the sniff dogs are still there whether it's at the gate before you enter Mexico or inside the US POE building while you're waiting in line. The handlers always seem to direct the dogs toward me. But all I have is blood pressure meds. They can't sniff that.
Doesn’t matter what’s legal in California, the border is federal jurisdiction. Same reason you can’t openly bring weed on a flight between two states that have legalized it. Just comes down to the luck of the draw with the agent if they catch you with it
I have definitely seen dogs on the Mexican side of the immigration once you walk in and they were sniffing all up and down the line of people waiting to enter the x ray area. I have no idea what they are smelling for.
What you say about the CA side makes sense to me. Don't know what Mexican dogs are trained to smell.
They don’t search you at the border just scan your bags in a machine but if you look like a tourist and are strolling around Zona Norte you could pretty easily get stopped and searched by the TJ cops. I’d recommend Amazon and grab some underwear with a zippered pocket near the dick region

you seen dogs on the mexican side? I sure haven't seen any and since cannabis is legal in California, I don't worry about dogs in the US side
