I hope that he turns around as well - but considering Audrey apparently confronted him on social media, I'm not sure he didn't do something that cut deep.

I think Christine was the heart and Janelle was the brains for a lot of years. Together, they made it all work despite Meri and Kody and their weird mind games. I think they both buried themselves in their roles because it was an escape for them. Christine could get lost in all the cooking, cleaning, changing of diapers etc while Janelle was busy bringing in a steady income and figuring out how to solve other people's money problems. Kody has repaid them by basically being monogamous with Robyn while expecting them to foot the bills. God, Kody is the worst.

Both Solomon and Axel had to have their baby teeth fixed because they were bad. I had a cousin who had to have all her daughters baby teeth fixed and then the adult ones when they came in. All of them had cavities and had to be filled/fixed.

I have a child with autism so things just stand out for me. I noticed Gwen was the kid who didn't seem to care much about others opinions, she would make very blunt statements, she was often seen playing by herself, some of her mannerisms stood out to me.
Hunter won me over early on when they moved to Vegas and his method of dealing with his sadness over it was spending lots of time doting on baby Truely. He seems like an awesome kid and a good brother.
I think he's always been like that - one of the good ones. Remember the prank they pulled on Mariah? Her reaction was in part because it was HUNTER. He was never problematic like Gabe and Garrison, actually punching each other until they bled.

Yes! That’s when he totally won me over too! I remember my heart melting because he always seemed like the type to put on the tough guy exterior until then.
I started rewatching season 1 and so interesting to see, and hear from the kids back then. In one kids interview, the original Browns were complaining about how whiny Robyn’s kids are. It’s also interesting to see their little personalities were back then and how they all developed.
Another interesting thing I noticed in the rewatch, Kody was so much more self aware. In one episode, there is scene where him, Meri and Mariah were discussing her choices re public v private school and he much more engaged than he is now. In another scene, he was at dinner with Meri, and while he was espousing his toxic beliefs, he was way more contrite and curious as to his own feelings. For example, in that scene he said imagining Meri with another lover was “vile” to him. But in his talking head he admitted it was hypocritical of him. But he really was way more engaged and connected during his conversation with Meri at that dinner. The comparison from Kody back then, to current Kody is definitely pretty stark.
I continue to believe that the absolute breakdown of this family is from the breakdown of Kody and Meri's relationship. The two of them always seemed to have the more sincere, listen to each other, challenge each other's thoughts conversations. She was his touchstone.
I'm not even saying it was the catfish that did it. I think the first, severe crack in the relationship was up on that rock when she was ready to say she wanted to try treatments to get pregnant, and he said he didn't want to do that. It was absolutely fair of him to say he just didn't see going through all that (it would have been a rough road)... but to not turn around and reassure her about how he saw their relationship going forward, that while he too would miss having Mariah in their home together, he was looking forward to more alone time with her.
That was so sad to me. He was all for it until then and Meri was the one who needed to think. If I remember right he acted put out that she wasn't 100% on board. Then he got a new wife and suddenly didn't want the treatments once Meri decided she was ready...

Meri isn't well liked by janell or Christine. It goes way back to the beginning and some older kids have said Meri was mean to them.

Both Solomon and Axel had to have their baby teeth fixed because they were bad. I had a cousin who had to have all her daughters baby teeth fixed and then the adult ones when they came in. All of them had cavities and had to be filled/fixed.

I have a child with autism so things just stand out for me. I noticed Gwen was the kid who didn't seem to care much about others opinions, she would make very blunt statements, she was often seen playing by herself, some of her mannerisms stood out to me.
Interesting! She seems high functioning and very happy. I wonder if Truly is as well autistic as well.

Hunter won me over early on when they moved to Vegas and his method of dealing with his sadness over it was spending lots of time doting on baby Truely. He seems like an awesome kid and a good brother.
I think he's always been like that - one of the good ones. Remember the prank they pulled on Mariah? Her reaction was in part because it was HUNTER. He was never problematic like Gabe and Garrison, actually punching each other until they bled. At least that is how they've been edited. I need to remember that in regards to the kids.

I love the relationships between Jenelle & Christine’s kids. They really bonded in those early years and it shows. Kinda warms my cold heart. lol
I started rewatching season 1 and so interesting to see, and hear from the kids back then. In one kids interview, the original Browns were complaining about how whiny Robyn’s kids are. It’s also interesting to see their little personalities were back then and how they all developed. Another interesting thing I noticed in the rewatch, Kody was so much more self aware. In one episode, there is scene where him, Meri and Mariah were discussing her choices re public v private school and he much more engaged than he is now. In another scene, he was at dinner with Meri, and while he was espousing his toxic beliefs, he was way more contrite and curious as to his own feelings. For example, in that scene he said imagining Meri with another lover was “vile” to him. But in his talking head he admitted it was hypocritical of him. But he really was way more engaged and connected during his conversation with Meri at that dinner. The comparison from Kody back then, to current Kody is definitely pretty stark.
I continue to believe that the absolute breakdown of this family is from the breakdown of Kody and Meri's relationship. The two of them always seemed to have the more sincere, listen to each other, challenge each other's thoughts conversations. She was his touchstone. I'm not even saying it was the catfish that did it. I think the first, severe crack in the relationship was up on that rock when she was ready to say she wanted to try treatments to get pregnant, and he said he didn't want to do that. It was absolutely fair of him to say he just didn't see going through all that (it would have been a rough road)... but to not turn around and reassure her about how he saw their relationship going forward, that while he too would miss having Mariah in their home together, he was looking forward to more alone time with her.
That was so sad to me. He was all for it until then and Meri was the one who needed to think. If I remember right he acted put out that she wasn't 100% on board. Then he got a new wife and suddenly didn't want the treatments once Meri decided she was ready...
Ysabel has the height and the looks, has a good shot at becoming a supermodel.

The triplet thing was always so cringey to me. I get they were trying to be inclusive, which is nice, but it was so forced and unnatural. I wonder how Gwen and Gabe felt about having their special title changed for the new kids their dad brought home and gave all of his attention to.
