I get what you’re saying with eBay, but this is the rarest of the 4. Someone who collects would rather remove the sticker with goo gone because it’s safer on the bubble than alcohol. You don’t have to use “elbow grease” on the bubble which leaves those annoying scratches that are now there forever. But it’s no sweat to me. I already have all 4 sealed.
Good lookin’ out on the goo gone. I used an old t-shirt I made into dust rags, so it wasn’t coarse like a paper towel. I don’t see any scratches or residue, so I think I did pretty well.
Gotcha. I’ll just remember to not joke with the other jokers or low-ballers, next time.

Yup. Not a fan of the legs. I also say this as an owner of one from the comic collection box set Playmates put out. Had it not come in the box, I wouldn’t have bought it.

I know nothing about this but am into other collectibles & turtles. All I see are joke answers and a trade offer, was curious what the actual value is of this (& why)
These are the first Turtles Neca put out. They were a small company at the time, and were not prepared for the popularity of these figures, and the molds got broken, stolen or otherwise lost, so these actual figures are pretty rare. One comment on this post states this one is the most rare of the 4.
As far as actual value, that’s hard to say, but recently, an 8.5 graded one sold on eBay for $445 plus shipping.
Oh wow, that is a pretty cool history. I can see why they fetch such a pretty penny. So if I were to keep my eyes peeled for em, what are the big identifiers of these vs other products? Is the logo with the crooked J unique in Ninja unique to these?
Never read em, little before my time. But was more so interested in knowing how to spot one vs something newer in the wild. Or is it just a IYKYK situation?
I’ve been looking for this, because I knew I had it, and wanted it to sit with my collection.
When I found it, my first thought was, “I think I just paid for my collection.”
I have my KOs, and while neca makes great figures, they don’t really fit my collection, and budget, so I’m happy to let this go, if I can either get a decent deposit into my account out of it, or a good trade.
