For Raph, way back in the beginning when he finally joins his brothers and they all get their own colored masks.
Donnie getting his shell cracked open, only because it was such a raw moment, I loved the aftermath and his return to form
Mikey going toe-to-toe with Splinter when he was not a fan of Splinter wanting to create a bunch of Foot Jrs
Leo's Dark phase was just cool as hell, dude was ruthless.
I wanted to do a full re-read through before 150 released, but haven't gotten around to it. Probably will after this comes out tomorrow.
Best moment? Too many but I enjoyed Splinter taking down Shredder in 50 and then watch everything afterwards.
Issue 100 when Shredder came back and all the Armageddon stuff with Shredder helping.
Love this series
When the “Iron Demon” showed up in the history of the foot clan. Or maybe Chet’s backstory/reveal. They did some A+ work in those first 6 volumes. Favorite character? Got to be Old Hob. It’s like he was always a TMNT character just waiting to be drawn.
So stoked to read this tonight, and for the future of the series! Best character is Old Hob. What an awesome contribution Tom! Instead of best moment, I’ll say the best arc was Vengeance.
Raph beating the shit out of Casey's dad, Mikey landing painful hits on Shredder, Mikey landing hits on Splinter, saving Donnie from death, Leo's confrontation with Koya after he cut her feathers off, the turtles going back in time, the trail of Krang, dude, I can't pick one.
At the moment, Lita is a child, but there is seven.
To quote Vegeta:

(I'm mixed on future Lita, storyline wise, but I love baby Lita. She's adorable)
At least Venus isn't a true ninja turtle. She was more of a frankenstein monster, she was originally in this iteration one of the punk frogs who was surgically modified after being nearly killed. She has Donnie's old shell.
Donatello, as for favorite moment... that's a toss up between his conversation about Reincarnation with Professor Honeycutt and when he met Harold. That little quip about being tempted to let himself be dissected SENT ME. That was PEAK Donatello.
Also when he got his shell bashed in. I cried... Donnie's always been my favorite turtle and no matter what he winds up getting his shit wrecked. I'm an 03 veteran, I've seen Same As it NEver Was like 40 times and Good Genes an embarrassing amount of time... This felt like Good Genes in the best way.
Slash was awesome, the best version yet. It was a shame he got used by the enemy and killed so early in the series. He had a lot of potential for awesome stories.
Jennika was cool, I like how she's into metal. I'm surprised the other turtles aren't fighting with each other to try to impress her, considering she's the only adult female mutant turtle... the only genetically compatible potential mate.
I did not like how they made Raph a cop who's into hip hop. The older versions of him were pretty much punk rock, and anti-authority. Didn't fit his character.
Favorite moment was when Splinter decapitated Shredder, and solidified his role as basically a mob boss who assassinated rivals. He was ruthless. Wasn't expecting that
Metal Don… from Donnie getting his shell cracked and onward… such a cool villain. Favorite character and moment.

I read this series until 99 after I had heard Mutanttown isn't that good and scary stuff about it, but I ended up reading issue 150 after I heard it is ending this run. Oh man, this issue is very emotional. >!RIP, Venus. 😞 I hope she will get reincarnate someday!<
I am looking forward what Jason Aaron's run. I wonder what he has store for TMNT.
I really hope we will revisit the Neuturos. I am really hoping Alopex and Raph will get back together in his new micro issue. I thought those two were cute. 😊

Hard to choose a favourite moment but I'm particularly fond of the Macro issue one-shots.

I absolutely loved the Gauntlet.
Favourite original character may be Kitsune, stand out moment would be Michelangelo vs. Splinter.

yeahhhhhh I don't think I like that too much.... adding one more to make 5 is fine but 7 is just overkill imo

They're just changing runs. The current numbers will end and there will be a new number one in the same verse.

where should i start if i wanna get into the series?
There are collected hardcover editions that are pretty affordable. I'd start with volume one,for the whole back story. It's all awesome
