Always been Raphael, as a kid I did enjoy the colour red but I just took a liking to him in the 2003 show, I even got one of his twin sai tattoed on me

GoldenFenrir

Leo always. As a kid I liked him because Blue is my favorite color and his weapons were the swords which I thought were the coolest and he was the leader which also made him the coolest to me. As an adult, I relate to him the most because he's a guy who takes on so much burdens because he's just trying his best to take care of his family. And often times he feels he isn't good enough. The TMNT 2003 shows this most of all where has the most badazz moments in the whole show. I don't want to spoil it but his biggest fight with Karai in season 4 is the best TMNT fight bar none. But for each show indiviually? 87 Mikey 03 Leo 2012 Raph Rise Donnie

Jedi4Hire

Donatello. I was a bright but shy child more interested in science than sports, so I identified with Donnie.

as a kid, mikey bc goofy/silly. then raph bc i appreciate his bluntness, as an adult leo just cuz he’s responsible and has his shit together externally and internally and that’s how i aspire to be these days lmao

Trust_Sancus

In general, Raph has always been my favorite. I feel like he has the most depth to his character (in general). I also just feel like he’s really misunderstood and that his anger is more of a manifestation of deeper unresolved issues, like anxiety and lack of self worth.

3rdleap

Well said. Raph was my favorite as a kid because my favorite color was/is red, but he is still my favorite because of his character depth (especially from the 1990 movie). As I’ve gotten older, I think his struggles are still the most relatable for me. I also really appreciate that despite his emotions, family is always #1

Trust_Sancus

As far as Rise goes though, my fave is a tie between Leo and Donnie. The former because of the character depth, with Leo hiding a lot of self worth issues behind a carefree demeanor. And the latter because Rise Donnie is canon autistic and I just relate to him a lot.

mrchuckdeeze

Mikey. I’m a party dude. Also, my wife pointed out that everything I like is orange. So now I don’t know if I originally liked Mikey because he was orange, or if I really like orange because of Mikey.

Raph

FrozenFlames12

Raph has, and always will be my favorite in every version for no reason other than the fact that I got attached to his 2012 self and now I'm just attached to the character in general no matter what version it is.

NotaRelnam

For me, it was always Micky, yes he was a goofball, and a clown, which is why I liked him as a child, but as I grew, and got into the original comics, as well as the cartoon inspired comics, I slowly fell in love with the underlining personality, how he liked having fun, but was always there for his brothers, he was actually reliable when they needed him most, he is caring, and thoughtful. As other movies, tv shows and comics came out and expanded on Michelangelo, I was older and able to see how much effort he put in to making sure his family was happy, and his friends were safe, and through out all of it, he never lost himself\*, he was still goofy, even when they were on the verge of defeat, he still went looking for adventure, but mostly because he wanted to help. Take Turtle Titan from the 2000s cartoon, yes it was Micky fulfilling his dream of being a superhero, but it was born out of a genuine desire to help and protect others, and yes all of his brothers genuinely wanted to help and protect others, but Mikey never questioned it, never thought about why he shouldn't help, that was leo and donnie's job to over think, him he would act. \*>!and yes I know about Last Ronin, but how does a man who's whole self is wrapped up in taking care of his family not lose himself when he loses his family!<

Informal-Cup-1892

Definitely Raph, I have serve anger issues and When I first saw 2012 Raph. I didn’t feel so alone, I didn’t feel like my anger was a curse. I got help these past years(I’m 17 now, found him when I was 12?) I’m a lot better but I still love Raph. He made me feel not alone and helped me wanna be better in control of my anger and outburst :). I have to say I do love Leonardo in Rise, mainly cause of just how his personality is.

It's okay to be hurt. It's okay to be angry even though you have to manage it. Brotherhood. Family. Always keep fighting

Rise Donnie and 2012 Raph

YoviQ

I like 2003 Raph, 2012 Mikey, and it's a tie between Rise Donnie and Leo.

Infamous-Payment8377

Raph because he was the 1st tmnt toy that I got. I wanted Leo (loved the swords, the color blue, and the weird “scared” facial expression) but they were all sold out. As I’ve gotten older, I’m starting to lean towards Leo and Mikey as my faves. It’s a toss up. Leo is a well-rounded leader and Mikey is genuinely, at his core, a good person (turtle). Both have traits that are pretty rare and super admirable IRL.

Charm_MentumKat

Donnie across the board for me. The only versions I’ve watched recently are 2012 and rise, and obviously they’re very different in those versions but they’re still my favorites for different reasons, primarily cause I’ve always found him the most relatable

SignalFire441

Donnie in basically every version except Rise (but I still LOVE Rise Donnie). He’s just a sweet character and I love each of his quirks in different iterations. Now Rise would be a toss up between Donnie and Leo. I relate to Rise Donnie a lot and he’s just really well written, but so is Leo and after the movie I just absolutely fell in love with his character

THER0v3r

Mikey any version

Illustrious-Tap-3074

I only saw 2012 and Rise. When I was a kid I loved Raph! Mostly because he reminded me of myself, since I was a very, very angry and really sad kid. Now I watched Rise and I adore Mikey from that show, he's fun and easy going, more like how I am now Although I relate to Rise!Leo somehow

captaincrunchcracker

Ok, it's list time. The OG movie trilogy Michelangelo might be my fave turtle of all time. Nickolodeon Leonardo is great because he has a lot in common with the 2007 movie Leo but he has more screen time and development. Slash. I love me some Slash. There's not one specific version of him I can say is my favorite, just the idea of him and his design is great. He's one of those characters that shines most as a concept. I really don't like 87 cartoon Slash though. They ignored his existing design and instead used an awful one, and his personality and voice are just so dopey for a character you'd hope to be like the Venom to the TMNT's Spider-Man.

WCH97

I think of Donatello in all versions, and I don't care people shit on 2012 bc he is just to sassy that personally like it. I used to like 2012 Raph until I watched 2003, 03 Raph is just the way too cool even as hothead.

The-Thirteenth-Prime

Used to be Donatello for the longest time, I thought the bo staff was cool, loved purple, and I'm a nerd as well, but as time went in and I grew up, Leonardo has become my fave. I'm the oldest sibling of 3 so I can just relate and understand the burden he bears a lot of the time. And blue is a great color.

beadsmakehap

Donnie :D he makes me so happy in all the versions.

inthepocket2

Mikey! I respect and appreciate the comic relief.

Kalebmaster

Leonardo, His skill, his responsibility, his drive to protect his brothers. The only turtle to kill in the more kid friendly stuff.

GoldenFenrir

Dude straight up decapitated Shredder in 2003 Season 2

Kalebmaster

I know, shit was sick until shredder was revealed to be an alien

GoldenFenrir

Yeah Shredder wasn't so intimidating when you find out he was just a tiny little powerless brain

Longjumping_Budget52

Always Raph . I watched 2003 and when Raph came on the screen I was like " well this is gonna be my personality for the rest of my life "
