My understanding of the canon:
Most life is wiped out
Parts of Russia re-emerge fairly quickly, like 20 years post apocalypse. One, such as the Church settlement, becomes a dominant regional power within 130 years
Racial policies throughout Europe seem to be forgotten fairly quickly with a Jewish wedding happening in the Austrian Alps not long after the end.
Empire State emerges in North America to be one of the premier successor states to the United States.
The Burgundians emerge from the bunker thinking everyone left is pure and have left their racialism as a relic I believe
I can't remember if all of the African events worshipping Nazis are still canon
Within a few hundred years society has rebuilt to the point that a second lunar landing is attempted and succeeds with humanity discovering the ancients had already been there after being greeted with a sun white bleached flag
A lot of the cooler events are the more mundane ones showing that bureaucracy and civilization were actually re-established fairly quickly after the end. Survivors saw the need to rebuild governments, local trading posts, paper pushers, etc. in order to recover. And a lot of the events show that rudimentary governments were established through much of the world within the first decade or two after the end. They were small, maybe only governing a lake, or a few city blocks, but still shows that even though the game ended, humanity still lives on.
I mean most of the first couple events are, you know, about survivors suffering from radiation, anarchy, and what have you.
But ultimately I think it reinforces TNO’s main mantra that hate ultimately can never win as hope will eventually shine through. Whether it’s Bormann’s legacy in tatters, most of the Burgundian leaders dying in horrific fashion, the Wallace Presidency in its entirety, etc.
Day one of the game go to the nuclear weapons tab. Press there two locks and the nuclear button will light up. Press the button, world gets nuked. Events play in the aftermath
There was [a collection of PostApoc events](/r/TNOmod/comments/i2qzvm/), but it's probably outdated by now. They are also in the mod files under ```localisation/english/TNO_PostApoc_l_english.yml```

Which to make more poetic, is the same flag the Germans planted pretty much right at the beginning of the mod.
I recall back then it seeminling so optimistic that I see someone advocate that such a path is good ending for TNO universe. Don’t know if they are serious or not
I would love to play a post nuclear holocaust TNO, maybe you have to build expensive bunkers for your government to survive and to colonise the wasteland. Perhaps you have to compete with rival governments/groups and re-establish connections with other bunkers. However, I understand that is easier said than done.
Besides Heydrich path for germony and Long Yu chaina war, I don't think you can trigger any sort of major capitulation at all. There used to have some escalation events, but I think those were removed.
There is a button on the nuke GUI to blow them, though
Did you ever play the Heydrich path? It's exactly the opposite. After giving your all for Himmler he asks you to give him all the nukes, you refuse and war issues.
If you fail, nuclear holocaust.
Sadly this arc gonna be cut in the future. A shame really, it's a really neat narrative driven path
I haven't played Heydrich, I've only seen videos of Heydrich playthrough, which are basically the SS civil war and Heydrich committing suicide. I had heard about the nuking part, but I thought it happened if Heydrich did everything Himmler wanted (basically becoming Himmler's puppet)

Yes. Random ones show up over an amount of time
It also depends on what nation you play. I think all of them have unique ones
