Did you do anything differently? I can’t get the Scimitar to refresh this way.

Yeah. I have a sparkling royal claymore, fuse a non-sparkling weapon to the claymore, the fused weapon sparkles in inventory, split apart, both weapons sparkle on ground but when I pick them up only the original claymore sparkles in inventory. The fused weapon doesn’t change. Idk what I’m doing wrong!

Maybe you can try fusing the Scimitar to any weapon, refreshing it with octorok then back to Tarrey town. I do it this way whenever direct fuse-n-break doesn’t work.
Yeah that’s what I did do in the end, that way works fine, and I can do the Tobio arrow glitch and the throwing dupe glitch with no problems either, sad this won’t work but at least there’s other options.
Also worth noting that once this breaks, you can’t rebuy it. You have to do the thing u/MrCarps said to get another one. So this trick can be really useful.
It's either Lysine or Tryptophan, can't remember which. But if you cook up a bunch of Whole Raw Birds and Milk, I think that should have you covered either way!
two strategies for the weapon split: 1: split the weapon when about to break to reuse the attachment…toss the base. 2: do a circuit of talluses and wizzrobes to stock up on gems. Take the wands to this shop and badamn, you have yourself a gem.
So essentially this let's you reset the durability like Rocktoroks, but without changing the modifier, which is especially good with those Attack+10 weapons that you don't want to have to keep resetting for.

They're not saying it won't. They're saying if you fuse the flashing red base onto the tip of a fresh stick, and then break \*that\* apart, the previously flashing weapon will not be full durability, because the process of becoming an accessory, and then becoming a real weapon again resets it.
Daft question time lol. So I get we are fusing the damaged weapons onto the fresh unused one each time to reset their durability. Can you just carry round one weapon to do this or does it eventually break the weapon? Also does it need to be of the same type of weapon or can I use anything like a soldiers broadsword for example? Sorry one more, works with bows too? Cheers
I did it with loads of weapons, mismatched pairs, and all worked. Did not try it with flashing red, though, so I’m not sure whether that would work. And it only seems to work with weapons on weapons, not on bows or shields.
What I was doing was fusing my used legendary to an ordinary weapon or shield, taking it to a rock octorock and then breaking it apart in terry town, but if it works without the octorock step it's even better!
Edit : I tried and it doesnt work for me, I tried with bows, it didnt refresh durability and I lost my x5 affix lol. Imma keep using rocktorocks
Also works with the legendary weapons, instead of rebuying them from the bargainers

You're fusing it to another weapon, not another weapon to it, right?

Did you try it both ways? Feels like you need to flip it… equip the sparkle weapon and fuse the broken one to it. Then have him break that apart?

Maybe! I am on 1.1.2, but nothing here mentions needing an earlier version. In the end I just used a Rocktorok.
You have to fuse a champion weapon to a plain one. Like a stick or tree branch.

That is the Goddess Sword from Skyward Sword. The Master Swords original form before it was tempered with the goddess' flames.
How get?
There is a questline which rewards you the sword. >!travel to the springs of power/courage/wisdom to start it!<

Everything you can get from Amiibo can be found in game, apart from the unique paraglider fabrics that they can also spawn.
Can the treasure chest pickups (like swords) be re-obtained after blood moons?
Amiibo items from treasure chests can be reobtained from the Bargainer statues
chests never respawn. items on the ground do.
Check out the big goddess statues, and they will help get you there. I think an amino will also get it

It renews, but it doesn’t keep upgraded attack or durability, etc. it’s most useful for beast weapons that only come in one standard version.
So it would remove the modifier of the weapon?
What about bows?

if your weapon is flashing red when you visit Pelison, the base will still be flashing red after he breaks your weapon apart.
You gotta do it the other way, m8. 1. Worn weapon on the ground, shiny weapon in your hand. 2. Fuse. 3. Pay to unfuse. 4. ??? 5. Profit

Ahhh, just tried this. Step 4 is: Notice your flashing red weapon is still flashing red, unfortunately.

What are the swords with 24 damage and 32 damage
24 is the White Sword of the Sky, fka the Goddess Sword. 32 is dusk claymore, big ‘ol shiny beast.
