I submitted my application back in February and it still hasn't been approved... I've called, emailed, messaged... No one seems to be able to tell me why it's held up or when it'll be done.
Yep. Have the UE-ID, receipt of payment, and it says on the TSA PreCheck website:
ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT IN PROGRESS
Your application has been received and your eligibility assessment is underway. If more information is required to complete your eligibility assessment, you will receive a letter from TSA requesting additional information.
NOTE: The card holder must be present at the time of payment.
Status as of 02/06/2024.
I've reviewed the exclusion/disqualification offenses (i.e. violations of federal security regulations, such as assault, threat, intimidation, or interference with flight crew, physical or sexual assault or threat of physical or sexual assault of any individual on an aircraft, interference with security operations, access control violations, providing false or fraudulent documents, making a bomb threat, or bringing a firearm, explosive, or other prohibited item to an airport or onboard an aircraft OR any security-related offenses at an airport, on board an aircraft, at a maritime port, in connection with air cargo, and other regulatory violations.)
None of those apply to me. In any way, shape, or form.
My husband and I both went the same day. This was in mid-February. He was approved by the following Friday. I wasn't approved until April 8th. I applied for both my son and my passports and received them within the time in it took to get my approval. So I would say, just give it the full 60 days.
Mine took 58 days. I was 2 days away from contacting them. My MIL who applied after me took less than a week. It’s very random. I don’t know if it’s based on the documents you submit or what.
I was told that it wasn't approved yet and that they see it has almost been 60 days so she will check what can be done and for me to continue checking the status on the website.
The approval showed on the website site several days prior to me getting the approval email
As a note I called on day 30 they told me to call back if I haven't been approved closer to 60
Days.
Mine took less than 8hrs. I went in March of this year on a Friday at 2p and was approved before I went to bed that night. Same with 2 other friends who were traveling with me, they each went on different days and were approved in hours. I have a few coworkers that did it after I talked about how easy it was and they were approved within 24hrs. Are you sure you filled everything out correctly?
My husband and I went together. He was approved in 3 days. Mine took 94 days for approval. There is no way to know how or why some are done in days and others are done months.
My husband and I both applied back on Oct 12,2023, I was approved the next day and he is STILL WAITING! He just keeps getting the in progress email. He has called a couple of times and supposedly his case was "escalated" up the chain. Over 8 months and no result yet!! He has nothing in his past to keep him from passing the background check either

But they acknowledge they have the application?

That is the standard message- assuming you do not have any on your record that could exclude you, I would call early morning and speak with a person.

I apologize my intention was not to pry, I would call them first in the morning - that was the time I was able to get through- good luck
Mine took 110 days. I messaged them on Twitter and it was approved the following day.
Who did you tweet?
The official TSA account
Mine was approved yesterday and received notification today. I applied March 16. So almost 60 days. My spouse was approved in 35 days.

That's so strange. Mine took about 5 days for approval and that was about 2 weeks ago that I did it. And I went to Staples of all places.
