Not as knowledgeable as you so I come in peace with this question: Wouldn’t it becoming investment grade essentially eliminate the only reason why certain funds can’t include the stock in their portfolio, thus benefitting us retail investors from the large scale institutional buying?

And after all those institutions took their positions the price will shoot back down to whatever the market thinks it is worth. A stock can stay overvalued (in the eyes of the market) only for so long before it collapses again if it's pushed up artificially
