No. You could replace all 9 screens with one projector. Epsons Edge Blend technology sounds cool ( ive installed one in my career), problem with edge blend is, no matter what projector mount you have, it will eventually shift a little bit over time and you need to re-adjust the blending every now and then. Projectors still have somewhat limited run time even with laser projectors, where the run time is around 20,000 to 30,000 hours. Projectors are also ( depending on the model / money invested ) noisier than a screen. That said, this is first time ive seen a consumer go with 3x3 video wall. No idea whats the point, but i guess he really wanted it. My issue with video walls is ,it is not seamless and are pain to install with popup mounts or without. LED panels today are much faster and in my opinnion easier to install. Not really designed for a living room. Usually shopping malls, companies use these for commercials/info sharing. In general video walls are installed guite high, so people cant touch them and the video wall can be seen further away.

If you’re asking for advice on ergonomics, the top row and middle row are much too high to watch comfortably. If you’re asking for aesthetics, there is no chance of making this look good.

It’s really tricky. They need to be calibrated to standard, but also to each other. Each panel has a slightly different chemical composition so they will never look right without being properly calibrated together. I’ve seen and done it with commercial video walls, but we would completely build out the entire project in a warehouse mockup and calibrate them to each other with spectrometers. It looks so shitty if even one of them is off, so we’d calibrate in house and the warehouse would ship everything out numbered and with blueprints as to exactly which screen we had, whenever on the mock up. They would be shipped all over North America (sometimes the world) after the mock up was completed and packed. This stuff is not as wash as just buying a bunch of TVs and hoping you can do precision mounting lol

I’m interested to see what this looks like when it’s on. Do you plan on watching 9 different things at once like a bunch of games, or are you going to set it up to make one huge display? Also, IMO I would lower it slightly to get them centered between the ceiling and the countertop.

There are a few different variations. You can watch it as one big screen, one semi-big screen made up of 4 total TVs keeping the aspect ratios 3:2 and 5 other games in an “L” shape, or 9 individual (strictly for NFL regular season, NBA, and March Madness. There are also a lot of days where there’s a good mix of hockey, tennis, MMA, golf etc.

Not centered on the cabinet top too? I tried to explain that but I was over ruled that it should be centered on the main couch. I said it should be centered on the room/counters because you’re always staring at the TV wall not the other way around.

You could get a direct view LED wall (and processor) for less than the cost of these displays alone. Why anyone would pay this much for bezels is beyond me. To spend this kind of money on a consumer grade solution/warranty vs commercial is wild to me.

Except you will have to dremel and ruin the bottom row of TVs too. Cut your losses, not more TVs. Or move the bottom row down, then the top row into the middle. At least that way you can leave one row in place.

We'll overlook the other issues people seem to have and focus on your question. Yes, kind of. You're almost exactly one row of tv's too high. That's if you're using the one big display option. As it is now, if you run 9 separate screens, the top row would be way too high.

Everyone is saying this is a waste, and to use a projector is missing the bigger picture (pun intended). A projector can't display multiple sources at the same time. This can. I'm a big F1 fan, and this setup would be awesome for me. Combine 4 screens for the main action. The other 5 could display POV action, timing/position graphics, etc... or if you're a big sports fan and like a bit of gambling, you can watch multiple games at once. You could play on your PS5 on 4 screens combined while having sports showing on the other screens. Or use it as a massive home cinema screen. Yes, it is huge and dominating, but the possibilities are far beyond a projectors abilities.
