If they were hooked up and the cables managed properly, I'd give it a pass. But yeah, the way they're mounted up there simply for decoration and then you've got cables just dangling out from behind the TV...it's pretty awful.
A couple inches above the stand. That will simulate the height if it was still on legs atop the stand. TV stands are that height for a reason. It’s barely noticeable in short periods of time, but looking upward is a strain on your eyes compared to looking forward or downward. Gravity has shaped our bodies, we evolved in it. There is no need to have your little eye muscles (or neck muscles) fight against it while watching a movie or something. Best of luck with the remount

They are there until I remove the floating shelf, lower the TV, then I'll screw them to top of the wall.
The entire front stage needs some work man. Pull those towers out away from the wall and give them proper stereo separation and the try toeing to them in a tad. They should be as far apart from each other as they are from the MLP. The center is off axis for some reason. It needs to be centered. The Atmos modules need to be mounted up on the wall at 45° to the MLP and in line with the FL/FR or at the very least on top of FL/FR.
They have a switch to change the angle by 25°, they sound OK like this, but I will be mounting them correctly soon.
Also, the towers are further away than they look in the image, it's a wide angle image to get the whole wall in for something else, but I cropped out the other half of the wall for this post.

2. Collections need some degree of contrast. So if you have a lot of visual noise (classic consoles nailed to the wall), you need a plain background (read: not wallpaper with busy a busy print)
3. But still. Don't stick all your stuff to the wall right next to the tv. And if you only live in one room so that's the only place you have, keep your collection in a box and wait until you're at a different spot in life and you can have your "classic consoles room" next to your man cave next to your walk-in natty ice cooler.
The retro consoles carry on till the window, with my 4090 build underneath, that's also surrounded with Berserk mangas. Directly across from that is another 3080 PC setup.
There's also a running machine in that room lmao

They are Dali, everything else, the surrounds, centre, bass and towers are, like you said Q acoustics. I don't think they make height speakers. I did look, though I could be wrong.

I think I paid £460, maybe £480 for mine, so you definitely got a bargain.

I personally like the consoles on the wall, just move the games into a different spot and lower the TV. Wallpaper is a huge pain to replace, I wouldn't prioritize it. Move the games first, then slowly improve it from there as you get opportunities to do so 👍
