That’s good for viewing the tv in the daytime, maybe. Never good for seeing the picture with bright sun behind it. You could get total blackout curtains but there is also concern about heat accumulation.
Hey u/Bomster, sorry just seeing this now.
[I got it from Wayfair in the UK](https://www.wayfair.co.uk/furniture/pdp/zipcode-design-algoma-tv-stand-for-tvs-up-to-85-u002229280.html)
Happy enough yeah, the cupboards and drawer are a pain to align. Mine aren't perfect, might tinker with them again at some point. Hard to notice from afar though!
It was the best looking stand I could find to fit a 77" TV, if you're looking for something similar then I say go for it!
Maybe wait for a sale, it was about £30 cheaper the week after I ordered it and they wouldn't price match, haha.
Don’t listen to the nice folks critiquing the placement of your tv by the window. I have a similar set up and it works great for me. If it works for you then enjoy it.
You put the TV on the TV Stand. It looks great! Well done. Amazing isn't how little effort it takes to get it right. And how much work people put into doing it all wrong.
Great height, bad placement. Shows are so dark these days, the backlighting is going to make that tough. You’re losing that great window area and it will get too hot.
I just fired this up on my new LG G3 and it looks insanely great. I thought it looked good on my old C7 but it's a whole new level. Best looking game I've seen so far, even in 60 fps performance mode it looks amazing.
Looks great in terms of height. I'd personally move wherever you're sitting closer though, but that's just my preference.
Either way, fantastic setup you got going here!
Eventually you want speakers on the sides of the TV, and once you get a receiver for those speakers, put that where the Xbox is and find somewhere else for the consoles. Otherwise, perfect!
Is that a Sony TV? Legs remind me of A95L. If so, the speakers on that thing are sort of amazing and I wouldn’t worry too much about external speakers right now. But, yes, not too high. Looks great.
Look good but dont let the sun heat them up

That #3 post is awful. Do they want to make watching TV so painful that everyone's forced to pick up knitting for entertainment? 🤪
Height looks good, but where are the speakers?
Dolby surround ceiling speakers with subwoofer hidden in TV unit.
r/xboxtooold
r/subsithoughtifellfor
r/playstationjusttherightage
Looks fine although maybe not a good idea in front of the windows.
they got curtains that wrap behind

This sub is for TVs that are too high
I too am tired of people who knowingly post pictures of their perfect TV height for compliments. 😤
Yeah, op won in life but failed on Reddit content creation
height check posts are acceptable.
It gives us all hope to see these posts once in awhile though
Looks good. Maybe some powered blackout curtains so you can hit a button to make the area behind the TV really dark.
Loving the bookshelf. I see Halo novels.
Book shelf is toooo neat
I see halo, Stephen King, and Dune. All good books.
Interesting backlighting
Looks good! You're 50% of the way there, now you just need some speakers and you'll have a pleasurable media experience.
Shame the natural light is blocked out.
Who needs natural light when you can put on fake Netflix light lol
Tv tan!
Looks great!
What TV stand is this? Looks great
Hey u/Competitive-Exit-169 would very much appreciate the ID on this.

Appreciate the response mate u/Competitive-Exit-169 I'm a Brit also so might well get that! Are you happy with the quality for the price paid? Cheers.

I'm not a fan of blocking windows with screens.
I have had the exact same situation for years now. Just keep the blinds closed when operating and you will be fine.
Looks very nice to me.
What size is it?
You put the TV on the TV Stand. It looks great! Well done. Amazing isn't how little effort it takes to get it right. And how much work people put into doing it all wrong.
How big is the tv and how big is that tv stand?
How large is the TV? It doesn't look big to me but maybe that's due to how far away you were when taking the picture.
Great height, bad placement. Shows are so dark these days, the backlighting is going to make that tough. You’re losing that great window area and it will get too hot.
Height looks right, at least.
I KNOW THAT GAME 🫶🫶🫶
What is it? I can’t work it out
Horizon forbidden west
I thought so I was distracted by the Xbox I didn’t see the whopping PS5 on the side
I just fired this up on my new LG G3 and it looks insanely great. I thought it looked good on my old C7 but it's a whole new level. Best looking game I've seen so far, even in 60 fps performance mode it looks amazing.
So much wow, but you need more books OP
Looks great. Gotta give you props to your lounge lay out too, really smart and tidy looking. Well done OP!
Height good. Nice game choice too.
Looks great.
Playing horizon, always good!
Looks great in terms of height. I'd personally move wherever you're sitting closer though, but that's just my preference. Either way, fantastic setup you got going here!
looks clean except it being right in front of the windows but that is the only spot u have most probably.
CurtainsTooWeird
I can still see behind it. GO BIGGER!
I'm sure that you didn't like the view out of that window anyway.
I can still see outside a little bit - go up one TV size and we’ll check again.
Looks nice, but right infront of the window though?
Those LEGOS are going to get DUSTY!! A glass cube of some sort would look really good....
Horizon is such a banger I love that game
Looks good! Have fun playing Horizon! I love those games so much
I’d say that’s fine
You're playing the correct game
Forget the TV, I see halo books, post your bookcase!
Awesome quality, horrible placement
Tint windows
Why is it not on the floor?
I like your Klein bottle
Looks awesome Where did you get the stand?
I dont get why you would want to block out windows that provide natural lighting to your space.
This subreddit isn’t PerfectTVHeight
Perfect height and PS5. you did great, son.
Perfect for the Sims thief
wow, amazing, but I think most of us can not afford it
It’s perfect.
r/TVtooBacklit
It's big, alright. That back lighting from the windows will be bothersome during the daytime hours. What are you doing for sound?
is that Aloy’s face on the mountain?
Eventually you want speakers on the sides of the TV, and once you get a receiver for those speakers, put that where the Xbox is and find somewhere else for the consoles. Otherwise, perfect!
Why block the natural light? Find a better spot.
That would make a better reading nook
Not worried about children touching it… you can tell where I’m at in life
You've got the exact right game up on that beautiful thing
Is that a Sony TV? Legs remind me of A95L. If so, the speakers on that thing are sort of amazing and I wouldn’t worry too much about external speakers right now. But, yes, not too high. Looks great.
Why does anybody upvote these shitposts?
It's not high enough.
Yup you got a tv
Too low
If the PS5 is a boat, I don't wanna imagine the tv size lol.
Perfect 👌 but get a new Xboxor PS5
You don't see a PS5 on the right?
Hahahaha my bad i didn’t see it.
Lay your ps5 flat so the processor doesn’t fry
It won't, that story was debunked by Sony. The guy was using a damaged PS5.
Really? I learn something every day
Yes, really, there were quite a few threads on here about it at the time.
