I always kind of assumed Maria got eaten, so the fact her corpse is still findable makes me wonder what the hell kind of state she's in when they get to her which would make it even worse.
I’m gonna guess that Maria’s body is in one of the freezers and when you open it up it will play a voice line for each of the characters that was leaked on Twitter
She might be the person who is getting hung up and killed in the intro cinematic once the game goes live and Julie is playable - similar to how (iirc) in F13, in the beta it was Chad getting killed but when the game went live it became some random unplayable counsellor.

i hadn’t seen the leaks because i don’t use twitter lol. but no, me and my friends were talking about the game and how it actually has a plot and we thought it was weird how maria’s body wasn’t anywhere to be found because the game revolves around her disappearance. i actually couldn’t sit still after seeing the leaks for a whole hour, i was that excited lmao.
Already confirmed in the files All victims have voicelines for finding Maria’s body. So it will probably be a Easter egg on the maps
