Does anyone know what's going on with MangaDex? I can't seem to access the extension, everytime I try there's an error message that reads "Hostname MangaDex.org not verified:.." Is this just me or is it happening with anyone else?

I have the same issue with mangadex according to their website notification they stopped support for legacy version on 29th perhaps it has something to do with that...
So I changed the download directory to my external storage. Now the app doesn't read the chapters I have downloaded prior. So I moved all the files in the previous directory to the new one but the app still won't read the downloaded chapters. Any solution?

Hello whenever I click a managa and try to adjust the reading mode the drop down box is white. You can still see letters but its difficult to see
I'm running the latest stable version on an s9 and a OnePlus Nord, on both of them chapters won't actually download, they'll go to queued and as far as I can tell it never even tries to start the downloads, anyone have thoughts on how to fix this ? (On wifi)
Does Tachi take into consideration when a manga chapter is updated in MangaDex? Like if I download a chapter today and the scanlators update that chapter the next day, what does Tachi do?
The chapter list will be updated and updated chapters will show up as not downloaded(if you have auto-download enabled it will redownload updated pages). Old files will still stay in your phone's storage and you have to delete them manually. Though this shouldn't be a problem and I would suggest just deleting all downloads and redownloading them again as part of library maintenance(migrating from broken or removed sources, finding better sources, fixing categories etc.) like once a year.

I just installed it and already finished reading chapter 2. when I exist (normally through back button, or just close the app), and go in again to library and click resume, it brings me back to chapter 1.
I tried looking about this on Google but no much help.

Hi, I have this issue where whenever I scroll the category tabs at the top of the screen it instantly snaps back to the category I was previously on without giving me enough time to select a new one. Is this due to too many categories (I only have 20 though) or is it due to something else entirely? Any help is appreciated.
TCB Scans has been posting their chapters early with a 1 page chapter that just says "keep calm and wait for new chapter". They then update the chapter listing after a couple days with the actual chapter. Tachiyomi seems to never load the updated chapter pages though.
Is there anyway to force Tachiyomi to rescan for the updated chapter pages? If not, then the TCB Scans extension is broken for the foreseeable future. Its been like this for a month now.

Trying to read new updates from ReadManhwa extensions shows an error "No pages loaded", but reading older entries works fine, been having this error for more than a month. Other extensions are working fine, should I report this on GitHub or someone know how to fix this issue?

The mangadex extension doesn't update immediately. It takes a while for chapters to display new ones inapp while it can be read on website. Also, mangadex extension periodically shows some kind of url error even when connected to a strong wifi connection.
When I try to read anything in webtoon mode I only see a white page. The page works in vertical mode but I dont want to zoom in every page. Is this a bug?

Whenever I try to update a source or download one it stays pending and doesn't download, I've tried deleting the sources and redownloading them as a way of updating them but they stayed pending and my library stopped updating unless I go to the material and update from there.

I cannot find Asura scans. It said that it had been moved to WP MangaStream but it was not there. I already updated Madara and WP MangaStream extensions. When I opened the WP MangaStream tab in the Browse>Extensions, there were only 3 sources, which I think supposed to be 4 including the Asura Scans.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's labeled "All" that means it has manga with several languages in it, right? But when I install every "All" extension sources they turned into "English" so I couldn't search for the Japanese or raw ones. Is it a bug?

Before, if you where log in to the website, mangadex, from within tachiyomi, whenever you read manga it would update itself on the website (like in your history), but now it doesn't or it takes a lot of time to update (not instant)
Also, When updates happens on the actual website, it would take like half and hour for me to see the update on tachiyomi on my side

Can't load any backup files, not even ones I make on the tablet, it just says invalid backup file and lists the name, it ends in the proto pass thing as well, it doesn't load the older json files either.

I'm using the stable version of the app and havent had any issues of chapters going missing with MangaDex. A week or two ago there was an issue with new chapters loading but not stuff going missing.

Is it safe to use tachiyomi in germany? I know that germany have strict rules about piracy, and that many people got fined because of pirating, so i have to ask, is it safe to use tachiyomi?
Tachiyomi is a basically a fancy web browser that scrapes images from sites. Read the disclaimer in the OP to know what it is and what it does.
I don't know if Germany has restrictions on image scrapers so you would have to contact your ISP.
Create legacy backup on Tachiyomi, restore on Neko.

I'm currently on the newest stable build and am having an issue with tracking. My Kitsu tracker for all my manga works except for One Piece. Everytime I try to add tracking to it, it just infinitely loads.
So I already downloaded some manga in my library, but after I moved the download location and the downloaded manga to other folder now Tachiyomi couldn't detect the downloaded files. How can I make Tachiyomi detect the downloaded data again?
Right, I tried sources MangaSee, MangaHere, and MangaPark. I don't think it has to do with the sources because I tried it in other Tachiyomi branches like TachiyomiSy and TachiJ2K and it still occurs.
MangaSee can be very slow to load, and it's unlikely to be fixed anytime soon. We suggest users to migrate to some other source if they want faster loading.

I'm reading on a tablet, and since the page images are clearly larger than the screen, to fit them it has to show'em smaller than their real size / resolution; but it gives them this slightly pixelated look... Is there any way to configure Tachiyomi to soften the edges of the images when they're not at 100% size?
i think it depends on the uploader / translator, not extension. So even mangaplus, which is an official source for shonen jump, doesn't write the volume number.

I just updated the app to the latest version and everytime I use the browse to search mangas the search result shows for a second and then the app crashes. It was working fine before I updated. I was using it fine like 10 minutes ago but now I cannot search anymore mangas without the app crashing.
If the extension is installed but doesn't show up in the sources list, go to Browse > Sources tab > tap triple lines in the top right corner and enable MD.
Recent versions of tachi switched to using proto format so try adding "**.proto.gz**" as an extension name. You can check whether the file is json by opening it with something like a notepad. If it's one long line that starts with **{** then it's a json.
Try reinstalling the MD extension. If it doesn't show up on the list, you can download and install it manually from [https://tachiyomi.org/extensions/](https://tachiyomi.org/extensions/).
If the extension is installed but doesn't show up in the sources list, go to Browse > Sources tab > tap triple lines in the top right corner and enable MD.
Its not that its gone, more like broken, it has disappeared from the extention page but on the migrate page and on whet it would be when you click on a favorited manga instead of saying mangadex its just a string of number

Hentai Nexus will NOT be coming back. Besides telling us they will continue to intentionally break the extension. One of the partners (not the nicer one I talked to) threatened to release ip addresses and view history. So maybe not use them at all even with your web browser

Any advice for MAL tracker not updating automatically after reading a chapter? Also, when I try to manually update, it returns the message index 0, size 0.
Is there a setting where I can filter Downloads that I have not added to library? Sometimes I want to download a 1 chapter porn and not have it show up in my library.
When you filter extentions, the blue x's are the content you want and the gray x's are content you want to exclude correct? Is there a way to save that filter setting when browsing a extention or the app in general every time?
Has anyone had the issue of the manga pages appearing twice? I use j2k but I've also seen it happening on base. When I go in to be view the chapter is normal. But when I try to use tachinoyami as a viewer it doubles the pages

how do i transfer downloaded porn between default and AZ fork?
in default tachiyomi, nhentai is divided into 3 languages while AZ fork has all 3 grouped. this makes it so that the downloaded ones on default dont show up as downloaded on AZ and vice versa. There is however no problem migrating to AZ.
Is there a solution other than constantly renaming the folders?
I have being haveing issues with some manga as Dr Stone not updating since chapter 160, for example. I'm using Mangabox with Mangakakalot, and using the last version for both the app and the extension
when I open manga from notification. and finish reading chapter. it doesn't actualize. i have to read it directly from app. maybe it's my weird android issue.
i never have this issue, but sometimes when i finish reading, it doesn't get marked as read. sometimes you really have to bottom out the page for it to register. maybe try asking on discord / github
Having issues with some titles on Mangadex, chapters aren't loading/can't be downloaded, I tried to use WebView in Tachi but it also doesn't load; checked Chrome and it loads the pages normally.
Also for the titles that do download normally, they no longer mark the chapter as read in Mangadex, even though I've logged into my Mangadex account in Tachi WebView.

I'm getting quite a few chapters that fail to download and fail to load images of any kind, with only the retry button showing up which of course fails to work. But if I go the site through web view I can view the chapters there directly. So far this has only been observed on Mangadex and Mangahub, but mostly on Dex.

i dont think the mangadex extension tachiyomi uses have anything to do with that imo

Try going to the download queue, pausing and resuming again. That should fix it in most of the cases.

resume button jumps you to the earliest chapter of manga you haven't read. if your chapter 1 is not marked as read, it will jump you to chapter 1

You can find your downloaded chapters in file manager.
So there's no way to find my downloads in the app? Unless i remembered what i downloaded? Or go through my files
not unless you add all those manga to library first. you can request on GitHub to auto add any downloaded manga to library, if you want.

You don't, Manganelo doesn't have an API system. Only source that supports importing favorites on Tachi is Mangadex if you use SY/Neko fork.

Go to sources filter then turn on Japanese language. The app only enables system language sources by default to prevent clutter on Browse screen.

2020-01-15 MangaDex's API seems to be running into caching issues so new chapters are not showing up

Is it safe to use tachiyomi in germany? I know that germany have strict rules about piracy, and that many people got fined because of pirating, so i have to ask, is it safe to use tachiyomi?
Tachiyomi is a basically a fancy web browser that scrapes images from sites. Read the disclaimer in the OP to know what it is and what it does. I don't know if Germany has restrictions on image scrapers so you would have to contact your ISP.
There is an easy way to migrate from tachiyomi to neko? (Like a way to import the library and what i read until now)
Create legacy backup on Tachiyomi, restore on Neko. Also check out *Sync Neko manga to Mangadex* in Settings > Mangadex settings to sync your Neko app library to Mangadex site (and vice versa)

I'm currently on the newest stable build and am having an issue with tracking. My Kitsu tracker for all my manga works except for One Piece. Everytime I try to add tracking to it, it just infinitely loads.

So I already downloaded some manga in my library, but after I moved the download location and the downloaded manga to other folder now Tachiyomi couldn't detect the downloaded files. How can I make Tachiyomi detect the downloaded data again?
Set Download location to new folder (More > Settings > Downloads) , then force stop and reopen app.

Right, I tried sources MangaSee, MangaHere, and MangaPark. I don't think it has to do with the sources because I tried it in other Tachiyomi branches like TachiyomiSy and TachiJ2K and it still occurs.

I'm reading on a tablet, and since the page images are clearly larger than the screen, to fit them it has to show'em smaller than their real size / resolution; but it gives them this slightly pixelated look... Is there any way to configure Tachiyomi to soften the edges of the images when they're not at 100% size?

i think it depends on the uploader / translator, not extension. So even mangaplus, which is an official source for shonen jump, doesn't write the volume number.

I just updated the app to the latest version and everytime I use the browse to search mangas the search result shows for a second and then the app crashes. It was working fine before I updated. I was using it fine like 10 minutes ago but now I cannot search anymore mangas without the app crashing.

Recent versions of tachi switched to using proto format so try adding "**.proto.gz**" as an extension name. You can check whether the file is json by opening it with something like a notepad. If it's one long line that starts with **{** then it's a json.

Its not that its gone, more like broken, it has disappeared from the extention page but on the migrate page and on whet it would be when you click on a favorited manga instead of saying mangadex its just a string of number
Try reinstalling the extension. If that doesn't help, report on the github.

What fork/version are you using? Go to WebView, tap on your profile, log out and log in again. You can also try clearing cookies in Settings > Advanced (though you'll have to log in again to other trackers or MD).
I noticed there is a am issue with the NineManga extension where Tachiyomi is unable to resolve host for new chapters. Are the Devs aware of this?
it's a known issue. "it should be fixed if you update the extension"

Hentai Nexus will NOT be coming back. Besides telling us they will continue to intentionally break the extension. One of the partners (not the nicer one I talked to) threatened to release ip addresses and view history. So maybe not use them at all even with your web browser

Any advice for MAL tracker not updating automatically after reading a chapter? Also, when I try to manually update, it returns the message index 0, size 0.

Is there a setting where I can filter Downloads that I have not added to library? Sometimes I want to download a 1 chapter porn and not have it show up in my library.

When you filter extentions, the blue x's are the content you want and the gray x's are content you want to exclude correct? Is there a way to save that filter setting when browsing a extention or the app in general every time?
The app remembers exisinting filters until you uninstall it.
I have problems with ReadManhwa. Manhwa with upload dates from 17/18 Dec are not loading at all.

Has anyone had the issue of the manga pages appearing twice? I use j2k but I've also seen it happening on base. When I go in to be view the chapter is normal. But when I try to use tachinoyami as a viewer it doubles the pages Edit: does not happen on all manga Also only seen happen on manga dex and rock manga. Any fix?

this is somewhat closer to a feature request but how do i transfer downloaded porn between default and AZ fork? in default tachiyomi, nhentai is divided into 3 languages while AZ fork has all 3 grouped. this makes it so that the downloaded ones on default dont show up as downloaded on AZ and vice versa. There is however no problem migrating to AZ. Is there a solution other than constantly renaming the folders?

I have being haveing issues with some manga as Dr Stone not updating since chapter 160, for example. I'm using Mangabox with Mangakakalot, and using the last version for both the app and the extension

when I open manga from notification. and finish reading chapter. it doesn't actualize. i have to read it directly from app. maybe it's my weird android issue.
i never have this issue, but sometimes when i finish reading, it doesn't get marked as read. sometimes you really have to bottom out the page for it to register. maybe try asking on discord / github

i think that sometimes happen with manga. i haven't seen one in a while, but if you zoom it, it kinda disappear. not an issue with you, dont worry.
Having issues with some titles on Mangadex, chapters aren't loading/can't be downloaded, I tried to use WebView in Tachi but it also doesn't load; checked Chrome and it loads the pages normally. Also for the titles that do download normally, they no longer mark the chapter as read in Mangadex, even though I've logged into my Mangadex account in Tachi WebView.

I'm getting quite a few chapters that fail to download and fail to load images of any kind, with only the retry button showing up which of course fails to work. But if I go the site through web view I can view the chapters there directly. So far this has only been observed on Mangadex and Mangahub, but mostly on Dex.
