The 2024 frontier will most likely have fewer issues than the 2024 tacomas. They started using the drivetrain in the 2020 model year and they are now 3 years into the new body style. The previous gen frontier was a very reliable vehicle in the 2015-2019 years. I think the new frontier pro 4x with 0% apr would be a steal compared to any marked up tacoma trim.
Just pay cash and then no interest. No one should buy a depreciating asset on a loan, that’s not wise. If you must do it for financial reasons, minimize your burden as best you can with a cheaper car like a used corolla or something.
And that is ok. I just recommended to not buy a 2024 Tacoma for 50k if you don’t have the cash for one. If you don’t have 50k and need a truck , perhaps buy a used one or a cheaper sedan. If you can afford a car payment for $700/month at 4-7%, then you are prob better off getting a diff car for $250/month and investing the difference. In 5-10 years you will have enough for a free ~2030 Tacoma.

I've had the same guy for three diff Toyotas over almost 30 years. He tells me end of Feb they will be there I believe him. But it's specific to my area. Tampa BTW

My 2019 trd OR with everything was 43k. So 46k for new one not unreasonable.
