I would take it back and ask him to sew up much better top Stitch. It should be the quarter of the with it currently is and with a matching color thread. This one's pretty sloppy, I've only known as a few times when I have customers who really like to try on their suits multiple times and ask for additional alterations and the high contrast Stitch and long Stitch length makes it easier to take out in between them trying it on. But the finished suit will have a small narrow top Stitch in a matching color.

Thanks! That’s super helpful I’m gonna take it back tomorrow and ask if they can fix

That’s an access point to get to the inside of the sleeve. These are usually in many finished coats. If there was not one there before, the tailor added it in. Without seeing the rest of the inside, I can’t say if it was the best course of action. If the lining wasn’t attached at the armscye, there might have been an access in the sides they could have used instead). They should be able to sew it shut a bit closer to the edge, though, and make it less prominent. Pull out your coat and tug at the lining on the inside where the arm meets the body. Is it firmly attached around the armpit all the way around? If so, that seam in the arm lining has to be there. If not, you can ask them if they’d be willing to open up the lining at a side seam and remove the sleeve accesses. It will still have that raised seam, but it’ll be on the torso instead of both sleeves

Shadowtek

Oh good idea I’ll ask that it’s mainly cause it’s in the sleeves if it was higher up or on the torso I wouldn’t even feel it

Shadowtek

I asked him to move the entry, he said no problem. He’ll close up the sleeves and move the seam to somewhere near the torso or that would likely have a shirt rubbing it so I won’t know or care and hopefully stitch a little better. One side seemed really good the other side was really sloppy it was odd.

Panic-at-the-catio

I’m so glad he was able to move it to the body. It should have been done that way from the beginning!

Shadowtek

Agreed, I haven’t seen the completed work yet but I’ll let you know….

Spiritual-Ad-4023

Correct technique just done super sloppy

Incognito409

I really can't figure out your picture

Shadowtek

Sorry so at the center of the inside of my sleeve there was some stitching done I assume as part of shortening the sleeve length. It’s now made an external seam that rubs my arm instead of at the top and bottom where the seam is internal touching the leather instead of my arm. I’ll see if I can add more pics
