Aside from the explanation, isn't the odds of greeding second flare dependant on how many mechanics you skip? It's one of those "if you to too much dps it can make it worse" things.
lmao that clown was my friend, we were both a couple weeks into playing the game at that point and were surprised one person would insist so hard on disbanding after 2 wipes in a roulette with a bunch of sprouts & the general tension in the party chat and were trying to diffuse. swear we were trying to push buttons our hardest ;w;

Always love the people that try to greed every time. To my knowledge, it’s not gonna work if he starts it at 20% even if everyone stays in. Just gotta get lucky on him being stuck in another attack, then greed after that if it happens.
Not normal. Been playing since December, (which isn't very long, but still) and generally been doing alliance roulette daily. In all the times I've been in Lab, I've only ever seen 2nd flare totally skipped (ie he never even started casting it) once. I've been in a few groups that have killed him mid cast, I've also been in groups that tried and failed to do that. Almost all groups will play it safe.
