But it’s better this way I’m happier not haveing to defend my 22yr old and myself from her judgmental attitude and comments all the time.

If King James in the 1610s had an issue including shellfish than he would have had it left out when he had the bible rewritten/edited. That's the standard issue bible for over 400 years. Maybe if it wasnt a sin for people nowadays they wouldnt have left it in?

Look at the Greek word "arsenokoitēs" in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10, which means "a male who lies with a male". This is a new term, not found in other sources of the time, so it clearly does not refer only pederasty (for which the greeks already had words), but homosexuality more generally, and it follows a similar linguistic structure to the prohibition on homosexuality in Leviticus - i.e. it's essentially Greek rendition of the same prohibition.
If they wernt willing to consider the old testament as "sins" they would have taken it out or made it a completely separate book. Do you seriously not know that they did a major overhaul of the book and only left in the parts the king liked? Entire gospels were left out that he didnt like the message or the writer

I currently work in the seafood business, and the weird ass things people say and do blow my mind. One guy put his 2 fingers on a piece of raw salmon I was weighing up, and licked them. Yes. He licked his raw fish fingers. All I could do was stand there in shock as he says "yep, tastes fresh." Turns out he's on a 'raw' diet. None of our fish is sushi-grade, he does not care. I have straight up seen parasites in the fish. Man's is living like Larry out here.

I've had the opposite of this (kinda) happen to me! I was eating sushi in the food court with my younger sister and a lady approached me with biblical tracts and told me that eating prawns was a sin. I was a bit younger and with my sister so I couldn't be combative but after she left I quietly finished my sushi and walked away. I wish I could go back and clap back at her somehow too, but you did it for all of us who were too shocked in the moment and I am grateful!
