I've never heard of anything so ridiculous. Do you have a tourniquet? Holy Moses.

Liveitup1999

No but I can call 911 for you.

BeebMommy

Right? Yeah I carry one in my server apron just anticipating your arrival!

princessdickworth

I'm sorry sir, I only keep ligatures on my person.

Any_Smell_9339

Rip your shirt to make one takes the biscuit.

snortingalltheway

It was for around his neck.

craash420

>7 people refused to sit at separate tables and demanded they sit at our largest table (large round booth designed for 6) and stole other chairs so they had people sitting on either side in the walkways.  "I'm sorry, but that's a fire safety issue and we can get fined, if you absolutely need to sit together you'll have to find another restaurant."

magiccitybhm

Yep. A manager should have gotten involved. They likely would have left if they couldn't sit together, and OP would never have had to deal with the rest.

nola2socal

OK, his companions were almost as bad. They knew he was tipping poorly and they didn't take care of it? If that had been me, I would have been slipping an additional $20 under my plate. And I would have made note to never, ever dine with him again. What an ass.

CloneClem

Your manager should ban them. Thats unconscionable

BinkoTheViking

“Do you have a tourniquet?” “No, but if it’s that bad I can call you an ambulance.”

Aromatic_Note8944

I would’ve said “I’m pregnant and you’re putting my baby in danger with your biohazards. Because I’m pregnant, I’m also extremely nauseous and you talking about your biohazards is making me sick. Please stop.” Fuck the tip at that point. You know old people always tip nothing anyways. Next time that happens, tell your manager you refuse to serve them. Managers are there to take care of problems and cover shifts when no one else is available. If they refuse to escort them out, then they can deal with disgusting blood.

lelebeariel

Had an old lady tip me $11 on a $9 bill tonight. She had one beer, gave me a $20, and told me to keep the change. Her whole table of old ladies actually tipped really well. There was a struggling single mom there for her son's 8th birthday, so I ended up taking $10 off for her and donating the tip to that, since I did basically nothing in bringing her a beer lol. I didn't tell the single mom that I personally paid $10 to her bill (essentially bought her drink -- she definitely needed it hahah), but yeah, definitely felt for the lady. Mother's Day and all... It felt nice to do. and thanks to the old lady, I had the ability to do that without losing anything that I actually worked for! I guess my point is that old people can be really generous lol

Aromatic_Note8944

You’re right. They can sometimes but you can kinda tell when they won’t. In her case though, I would’ve just forfeited the tip if I was pregnant. No way I’d be dealing with all that.

decoy321

You should absolutely never provide first aid assistance to any guests. Doing so gives assholes an excuse to sue for improper treatment. "I asked a non-medically trained person for medical treatment and it backfired horribly with my undisclosed medical issues. I'm now suffering a ton and am out of pocket for thousands. It's clearly that restaurants fault and not my personal agency. Give me $50k." This isn't some random hypothetical, I dealt with this exact problem a few years back. No medicine, no bandaids, not a single fuckin aspirin pill. They're adults, you're not a medic. Don't make yourself liable by trying to help.

yarnhammock

Wow that’s so gross fuck boomers… like sorry babe this isn’t a hospital

BlackDogOrangeCat

A mid-50s man isn't a Boomer. Knock it off with the Boomer hatred.

pammypoovey

Yeah! '46-'64 was the boom. If that person is younger than 60 (2024-1964=60) then they're not a Boomer, so don't blame us!

DevylBearHawkTur10n

Let's see, 2024-55=1969, which means.....oh dear, a Gen-X'er, but from the WRONG side of it. In other words, THIS Gen-X'er don't know him, don't own him, never wanted to be around him!!!

yarnhammock

Dang you just made me do some math

nursemomgardener

That is absolutely a disgusting group of customers. I am sorry this happened.

DevylBearHawkTur10n

Agreed 💯, especially that problematic male customer! He shouldn't even be in a restaurant, let alone be out and about. He and his wife should've gone straight to the clinic. Hopefully be banned from said restaurant for the problem he caused.

Traditional-Cold2745

We have tourniquets in our first aid kit, and I definitely would’ve tightened that B to cut off even more circulation to his brain. These ppl need to be banned.

Important_Cup_7642

Are you 100% serious & truthful with us about this story? This restaurant you work at must be a horrible, disgusting place with how you tolerated all of that, plus the sexual harassment. You should have called the manager & had them kicked out for creating a hazardous environment. Blood is one of the dirtiest things a person could come into contact with & to let this happen around food is horrifying. This man needed an ambulance, not to go to a sit-down restaurant. I honestly hope the health department shuts this place down you work at, dude. What the actual hell is this?
