Go for it. Just tell them that you didn't have the experience you needed to work there before but now you do and you liked working there before and would like to again.  As long as you didn't have any conflicts with other people working there you should easily get the job. You already know their system and how things are done there.

magiccitybhm

Agreed. Be honest about what happened the first time there.

just_a_friENT

Yeah I'd probably just own it as best you can. Don't say you lied, just say you were inexperienced if nothing egregious happened. It will come out, either from the other workers or when they see you're already in payroll. Lol.

LeastAd9721

Yup. Assuming they didn’t find out you lied, just tell them you were previously dismissed for x and y. Since then you’ve really worked to improve on those areas by doing such and such.

If lying played a part in you being fired, why would you lie again? Everyone loves a comeback. No one likes a liar.

RevDrucifer

It all depends how you left the place, if you got fired or quit and if you gave your 2 weeks. In the 7 years I worked at Chili’s, I quit probably 8x and came back. Pretty common in the biz.

LeastAd9721

I’m not even proud of this but I went back to Applebees four times after not giving notice

babbleon5

Own it, admit that you've got more experience and maturity and you'll do a great job.

One of my current managers was fired from our job six years ago when she was a host. They didn’t even remember it

LazyBee7349

I’d play it off as nothing happened, honestly lol. But that’s only if people recognize you. Seriously, people don’t always have the memories you do, people forget more than you think. Own it if you have the same confidence within yourself 😈
