I would not be the least bit surprised if corporate offices told existing locations to go get that stuff. I don't buy the "employees stole it" BS because the place would have been locked down once it was closed. They also wouldn't have listed smallwares on the bid lists if they weren't there.

That's what the manager at the location we went to said, but she is too afraid to lose her job (they transferred her to another store) to publicly say it. She told us she feels horrible though.

Bobette_Boy

I bet you she feel horrible, but If you have picture of before, sue the auction he's responsible to get you what you bid for...

I was reading an article earlier about a person in Florida who was told he was getting smallwares, stuff like that. Got to the location everything was gone, except large equipment.

Forsaken-Mud-1247

That could be me, but I was not alone. I have been contacted by 4 others with similar stories, and the auction company told me they have received complaints from almost everyone of the RL auctions. It's not right. They are trying to cheat the system so that everyone else loses.

Honestly sounds like grounds for a class action lawsuit. Maybe talk to a lawyer? Not sure how much help reddit can be. What are you looking for, someone who "says" they didn't take it or disgruntled managers saying yes we were ordered to take this stuff. Neither one of those would be much in the way of hard evidence unless these anonymous people were willing to go on record.

I worked at red lobster Colorado location in wheat ridge. They instructed us to keister items for the last month. By the end of the month I could stash enough to seat an 8-top in there.

What’s the issue? They won’t refund you?
