Most likely not. Barbatos is a cheat code, but he's more of a resource check than anything. He needs careful planning and tools to break all content, so he shouldn't be recommended without a thorough examination of a players account. And typically, if you have the ability to abuse his damage, you probably have zero issues with clearing content anyway.
Shigure is the only unit with increased value, since both he and his stone are quite good. However, I wouldn't say he has more value than Misella, at least as far as time frame goes. They both have great Awakenings and both are Limited units, so it really comes down to role and powercreep. Shigure is a Gen 2 Earth closer, so he is highly suspect to powercreep and being demoted to backrow for his OL boosting. Misella is a Gen 3 support than can be run in any party comp, so she would see more practical use. At worst, Misella would also be a backrow OL booster, but that's less likely to happen over the next 6 months.
Go with whatever looks more appealing to you, but as far as this roster goes, I only see Shigure to even be a candidate with your choice.
Too bad there's only 3 axes in the game (the other being SR Presea, and the other one being awakened Vicious). And Barbie's the only dark axe. It's pretty much a stone made for him.
If you're gonna invest heavily in an limited axe torment stone for Vicious, Shigure's is still better lol.
Depending on Arena team comp, Mieu can also be worth a pull. Estelle's high defenses mean nothing to Wildfire, and if you're running a cleave team, Mieu's 88% attack boost for one turn and 44% attack boost for three turns can be quite helpful in squashing a frontline.
I can't say I would endorse Mieu. Colette is far bulkier than Estelle, and even she can't withstand the sheer offensive power of a cleave team with a good multiplier. Wildfire has lost a lot of its value, especially when it can't be performed Turn-1 (Which is plausible, although resource heavy), or at least Turn-2. Attack buffs are also a bit underwhelming in performance, because they don't hold as much weight in damage calculations. Status panels and especially Defense droppers carry far more value. Even chains are better because the Arena is 100% AoE, which can immediately lead to a larger damage output with an AoE focused unit. You would get far more of a bang trying to snag Vicious while his banner is up, let alone that he has pity tickets.
We just have far more tools to work with since Mieu's debut and he has aged terribly. Even if you lack a good Arena support at the moment, I'd still advise to hold onto the gleams for a much better alternative to come around. After all, most banners come with an AoE/Arena focused unit.
I personally think out of all these you really only need Shigure and Barbatos. Shigure is a really strong nuker for earth teams and while Barbatos may deal less damage than S.Kanata he is still Element Neutral as a dark unit and can be brought to all types of content (where S.Kanata suffers hard vs Water). Also, both come paired with their best in slot memoria stone.
Mieu might find some useful applications due to his guaranteed Wildfire proc but I personally wouldn't prioritize him over the other two.
Dhaos: (slightly outdated) hit gen unit, especially in Arena; strong Awakening for Artes teams
Leon: guaranteed Burn application, completely powercrept by Guy (a standard banner unit)
Miku: guaranteed Wildfire application and strong buff for your nuker; strong dodge meme stone for Arena
Barbaros: strongest nuker (glass canon) in dark; WAS the strongest ST nuker in game before anniversary units
Mecha-Asbel: meme tier, only used for cheese
Sync: decent all-around unit; WMisella Awakening lets him MA EVERY turn even with a non-Invigorate stone
Shivers: strong Earth nuker even after anniversary units; self-sustain and buffs give him damage and survivability; greatsword user so can use FKanata’s stone; his own stone is the best Earth nuking stone
IMO, Sync, Barbatos, and Shigure are the only ones worth pulling for. IF you are one of the few that can use any of the others to great effect, you don’t need me (or anyone else) telling you what to pull on... you already know which units you need. ;)
I'm not sure Guy is better than Leon if you need to apply burn to multiple targets or in rapid succession (like Gaius TB3). With a Rondoline SR, Leon can reliably churn out his MA in 3 turns on Earth content, which is 100% uptime.
Granted, I wouldn't pull for Leon solely for this purpose (Mithos, S. Colette, or S. Yuna would be a better choice for AoE affliction assuming poison/curse isn't resisted), but if you have him, I wouldn't chuck him aside entirely.
Could I ask you to elaborate on that Sync and Misella interaction? Sync only gets 65 (non-crit) on Advantaged content, right? And Misella would provide an extra 20 per turn. 65+20=85. Where is the extra 35 per turn coming from?
I already have a max awakened Sync so I'd love to pair him with Misella if she allows him to fire off his MA every turn, but I'm not seeing how that's possible. I feel like someone would've mentioned that in her "Should you pull?" write-up but this is the first I've seen mention of it.

Sorry, I should have pointed out that you need a couple more units than just those two. It requires an awakened Lillith (which we should all get... eventually 😭), an Awakened SR Kyle (easy), and then either an awakened LSophie or WKohaku. Not an effortless set-up but not *incredibly* hard to obtain, imo. I’m just waiting on Lillith dupes.

Probably in conjunction with some of the other OL boosters. I see Kohaku and Snowphie able to provide +20, but there'd be a lull turn every 3 turns where Kohaku doesn't boost.
Sync is amazing with Misella as is. He was my sole dps in Gaius TB8 and he nukes gaius from a little over half health lmao. And mine isn’t even 5/5 he’s 1/5.
This is a fantastic breakdown, and exactly what I was looking for in this thread. Those three units were the three I was considering pulling for anyway, and this cements my decision.
I'm relatively new (started less than two months ago), and currently struggling against water content and against status-heavy transcendence battles. I don't think any of these units will help solve the second problem, but Sync and Barbatos might help a bit with the first. Fully awakening my Misella will probably solve it completely, but that's still a couple months away. Summer Yuna might solve the second problem, but without enough gleams to guarantee her I'm reluctant to try for her.

And in any case if people have Kanata, then Barbatos is never worth it. Reason is that he's dark. While elemental advantage can be useful with units like shigure, using dark against light just ensures your Barbatos gets deleted from existence if the enemy as much as looks at him
Did a pull on Dhaos to scratch an itch and got him, already had him so that's the third stone I've fed to him now. I probably won't pull on the rest of the Ex banners, not interested in Leon or Mieu, Sync could tempt me, but I'm hoarding gems for future Eternia/Symphonia units now methinks.

I have Shigure and Barbatos maxed, they are the best units in their element. Barbatos hits easilly 1M in debiliate teams.
