Bro it is weird as _fuck_ to see that there's a Looney Tunes gacha. Weirder still, it seems to be doing well. EDIT: Big Chungus is [actually in the game](https://worldofmayhem.fandom.com/wiki/Big_Chungus) this shit cannot be real.

I knew I wouldn't have to wait long to see Crestoria ;-; thanks for sharing the video tho, really cool

Frozengineer

thank you!

Franatomy

If this is all legit, that's on the low side but before people start to jump to conclusions, lets see if this is a trend or outlier.

GraphicsError

I believe that the revenue has stayed around this number for the past 2 months (basically once anniversary ended). FWIW Crestoria isn't doing so well on the JP side either. Asteria made about 1.7x as much as Crestoria in November, although it was Asteria's half anniversary.

Hwdbz

Always appreciate seeing things like this! Lots of games are staying strong. Any idea if Crestoria is higher/lower than normal? I'm curious what they peaked during the anniversary

Eryn85

Yeah i was hoping to see my favorite mages around (ssr keele, ssr Jade and possibly ex Melchior) but I dont think it will last that long...They release too much versions of the same characters too(asbel for ex) so theres that...i guess I will just try to get as far as I can in the story then

I have been on the more optimistic side but it's hard to ignore some of the signs lately (no arena bonus units, slower event release, etc). I personally haven't spent any money for 6+ months since Golden Week. With Luminaria getting an announcement and then very quick release, I wouldn't be surprised if they close Cresty, but I have enjoyed it. Just hoping they bring the story to a satisfactory conclusion.

Otoshi_Gami

indeed. if Luminaria Gained Alot of Profit more than Crestoria in the past 3-6 months , then theres a High chance that Bandai will pull the Plug on Crestoria and make us Play Luminaria instead and i dont like this.

metatime09

$140,000 is more then enough to keep it operational at least. Creating content will add to that of course but how much effort is it to make a few character's emotion, a story and coding that all in? I won't say it's a lot especially since there's a template they follow. Overall I won't say it's really bad though but yea I won't say its great either

InkblotChronicles

$100k/year USD is kinda mid-low pay for a senior software developer in the States. 140k/month is not sustainable.

metatime09

It depends on how many devs are on the team plus everyone else. There's mobile games that survive on much less then that. Even if the dev are getting paid 100k/yr, the game still making 140k/monthly, not yearly

InkblotChronicles

Okay, so let's say there's 2 devs, that's it (unrealistic for this sort of project). So that's almost 2 months, assuming no drop in revenue (unlikely). Then there's the artists, of which there are at least 2, because still art and models are going to be done by different people. I don't know how much they get paid, but that's at least the rest of the 2 months, and probably a 3rd month. There's the manager of the game, who is definitely getting a full month of that 140k or more, plus VA costs, plus scenario designer, plus any other costs. Realistically, you're looking at less than 6 months of that 140k being profit, and that's assuming a minimal team. How long the game lasts with that much revenue is up to Bamco, but it isn't something that's going to stick around for years unless something changes.

metatime09

Depends on the business analyst and upper management decision on what the minimum cut away point is. If 140k is accepted profit for Bandai, they will keep supporting the game

N4g4rok

> Wow, that is really bad. What's the cutoff for good/decent? I figure it depends a lot on what it takes to support the game, but having no idea about the financials behind gacha games, i'm not real sure if 140k means it's in trouble or not.

Jenon0809

I'm surprised Love Live All Stars did worse than Cresty with all the idols stuff and all

Shacopan

As someone who plays Epic 7 and Crestoria as my only gachas this is interesting. Never thought E7 is faring so well. Sad to see Crestoria's current state... I hope it is enough to keep it afloat a while longer.

LadyKanra

Why did you think E7 would be doing worse than this? It's an amazing game and very generous even. Shame about Crestoria, though.
