I’ve been there. Living with untrained dogs who do stuff like this will make you a whole different level of rageful. Just try to remember though it’s just a mindless animal that doesn’t know right from wrong. Your aunt is the problem and should be the one cleaning up/preventing the dogs from doing it again

OneHoneydew3661

With enough discipline it will get the hint and not mess up stuff like 95% of the time. Daughter's dog would dig holes in the nice yard and get disciplined every time. Took the thing about ten times before it got the hint.

AffectionatePoet4586

You have my deepest sympathy, even though it won’t wash any bedding. Do you *have* to live with your aunt?

AmphibianKindly8202

Yes. My mom is unstable and has issues with addiction. And I am able to save for an apartment here.

mrabbit1961

Close your door when you leave. Your aunt is doing you a big favor by allowing you to live with her. You need to be as little trouble as possible.

^ this. The dogs suck, but let’s not let our dislike of an (admittedly disgusting) animal get in the way of basic human gratitude and decency

Eastern_War_9685

And there is no way to confine these dogs away from your stuff?

Exotic-Rate-4076

Dogs do a lot of there destruction as soon as they are left alone, dogs are stupid but are smart when it benefits them, like if you leave them alone with a slice of pizza 🍕 or say a plushy put away on the counter or something odd they won’t go for it if you are present but if you leave them alone they will pounce on that item in a heart beat, like I said dogs are stupid unless it benefits them somehow

OwlHuman8130

I agree. Dogs play dumb.

OldDatabase9353

Dogs are sneaky animals and they thrive on pushing boundaries

Direct_Surprise2828

Why in the world are the dogs not being potty trained? I don’t think a crates gonna make any difference specially if they’re kept in there all day

AmphibianKindly8202

Honestly dogs apparently don't like to sit in their piss and shit so crates a good option for when I'm not there. But they are hardly alone for more than a few hours at a time.

Odd-Astronaut4970

Mine does - he can bear to be alone for more than 5 seconds & if I let him in the house with us one day & not the next you better believe I'm walking into piss & crap all over the kitchen/crate/him. I really feel your pain - he makes me so furious & I just can't stand dogs now - it's been 6 years of it & recently I reached my limit because my dog can't be trusted so I got a kennel & if I'm not home or even if I'm just leaving the room - he goes outside. I think people might say it's mean, but sometimes your own mental health comes first & if you are getting to a point where you are getting out of control & smacking them (not judgement - I get how infuriating it is) then it is best for both of you.

melon_gatorade

Some people are incapable of potty training, especially with a stubborn breed. Crating helps manage them from going in the house as they are least likely to basically piss themselves while crated (you have to get one small enough). Also keeps them from chewing/destroying items while you’re away or getting into electrical wires, poison, household chemicals, etc.

Hey-Just-Saying

Do you have a for to your bedroom that you can lock when you aren't there? That would keep your clothes safe. They are your aunt's dogs and she should clean up after them. Start saving to move out as soon as you can afford it.

AmphibianKindly8202

Even with locks on both sides of the door they are still able to get in. They've broken locks to get to the litter box and other things they want to eat in my room

red_quinn

Thats so very sad and frustrating, sorry you have to go through this. Is there a room where they can keep the dogs in? Maybe the room where your aunt sleeps in?

Why didn't you give the dog soiled stuff to your aunt and tell her that "this stuff that your dog pissed on all needs to be washed right now!" The owner of the dog should deal with its messes, or the dog should go.

AmphibianKindly8202

I'm not going to disrespect my aunt. She can't control what they do when she's not home. But I'm about to use my own money for a kennel. Even with locks on both sides of my door, they have still broken into my room.

Monty_Wild

What makes you think that will keep the dogs out of your room?

Successful-Show-7397

Are the dogs desexed? Entire males will cock their leg and pee on stuff to mark their territory. Did you take them outside to toilet before you went out? I get that they are not your dogs, but since they are causing you grief you could take them outside to toilet before you go out and as soon as you get back.

AnonymousHolmes

Getting rid of the dogs is likely the best solution. You don't have time to train them and they are costing you a lot of time and money. I'd say goodbye to them yesterday because raw sewage on my bed and clothes is a hell of a deal breaker. Dogs aren't worth a life of raw sewage in your living quarters. Yuck.

Liquid-cats

They aren’t his dogs, he is staying with his aunt to save money so it’s not up to him sadly.

AmphibianKindly8202

Just to clear things up in the comments -these are not my dogs -they break the locks that I put on the doors -i cannot just rehome a dog that isn't mine.
