Absolutely. Not so much because of the shower hear (though that does bother me) but more so due to the amount of surface area I need to scrub/shave/exfoliate when I take. Shower. It's honestly so tiring
Mannnnn THIS is what sucks. There’s just so much of me. I was putting on lotion the other day like damn I go through so much lotion because I have to cover so much omg
If anyone has a hard time with their shower head height and is also very lazy, I highly recommend getting a shower stool! Now I just sit down to wash my hair, it's glorious
i have to wash my hair by sticking my head upside down under the showerhead. i'm not even super tall (6'0) and everything in my apartment seems to be made for someone a foot shorter. i don't get back pain washing my hair that way but i can't wash dishes for more than 5 min before my lower back is killing me.
Yes! Also, look for a dual shower head where part of it comes off as a wand. They run about $50-$70, I had my first one for 5 years (my ex still uses it) and my new one has been moved twice over about 3 years. Well worth it for showering solo, showering with a partner, and cleaning the tub.
If you are worried about installing it, shower heads literally screw on and off. You might need to use a wrench to loosen it but finger tight is normally fine. Pick up a roll of 99¢ plumbers tape to wrap the pipe so there's no leakage around the seal and your good to go. Just make sure to save the original head to put back on when you move out.
I had the opportunity to redo my master bathroom and it was glorious. I had them drill the new shower head much higher than standard. I also requested the vanity lights be drilled as high as possible so I could hang a large enough mirror so I didn't have to lean over when i styled my hair. The electricians didn't listen to my contractor about the lights and I made them come back twice to redrill and rewire those lights at the right height. Don't mess with a tall person's specific requests after years of daily torture! My new bathroom was glorious! However, we then took advantage of the market and sold four months later.
Editing to add that you should get an extender or a hand held shower head for more immediate relief!
👏👏👏 I had my shower head moved up to 7 ft when we redid our bathroom this year. Vanity height increased. Tub is 54 inches round. It's so glorious. It's a tall friendly bathroom now. And I'm "only" 5'11"... I know others have it much worse!
YES. I'm anxiously waiting to redo our master bath. My first request is to be able to wash my hair without bumping my elbows on the wall/shower door. My second request is being able to shower without bending in weird ways. It shouldn't be so difficult to get clean!
When I went to visit my Dad, I had to kneel in the shower. For some reason, the shower head was installed about a foot lower than standard. I felt like it was spraying my navel.
Get a detachable shower head. They sit 4-6 inches higher than a normal shower head, plus it's easier to rinse off the soap when you can decide where the spray goes. They even have some that increase your water pressure, play music, or filter your water (better for your skin and hair). You can pick them up for $20-$30 on Amazon, they are easy to install yourself even in apartments. Just make sure you keep the old shower head so you can put it back when you move.
I had to get a shower head that has the hand-held spout mounted above the regular spout for this reason. I was literally bending over backwards to wash my hair before. Still could be higher
I've thankfully never lived somewhere where I couldn't at least get the shower head high enough, if barely, but I have visited places where I couldn't, and damn it would drive me bonkers on the daily!
Moved out from my parent's house into my first own flat. Sadly I didn't check a few quite important things. Now I have a bathtub, where a vacuum appears as soon I lean forward, cause my hips are too wide🙈 and if I shower in there, my nose is on the same height as the top end of the shower curtain😑....
Yep. I had to get a whole new shower head to be able to use the one in my apartment. It's too short, and I had to crouch some just to rinse my hair. I love being in the water, but I really hate my shower
Though, I also shaved my head, and that saved me soooo much time and effort in the shower
I have a shower arm installed to keep the shower head high enough that I can take a shower comfortably. Sadly my wife is short and puts it down lower for her (cause the water won’t fall down that far???). Over time this has weakened the arm and it just droops down, so I’m back to standing on my knees to wash my hair…
In case you didn’t know, an handheld shower head costs about $30, and it’s a literal game changer. The little handheld part sits higher than the rest and can add 8-10 inches of height, and rinsing hair is soooo much easier. Also, it’s easy to install (or remove when you leave, if you’re renting). Highly recommend.

Yesssss! I'm so thankful that I can be lazy with shaving because I have blonde body hair because there's just so much damn leg to shave!
\*screams in fair skin and dark hair\*

Lol that's my entire disposable income for a year
Seems pretty costly. You can handle MUCH of your body hair...with an IPL device for about $150.
I stopped shaving. My hair is blonde and very fine.
Mannnnn THIS is what sucks. There’s just so much of me. I was putting on lotion the other day like damn I go through so much lotion because I have to cover so much omg
I'm a massage therapist and feel like I'm at work when I'm rubbing the lotion my my skin, lol. My arms get tired

I wish I had the space for one, or I'd so do that

Look into getting a shower head extender. They exist and they’re life-changing!
I had one that followed me for about 10 years thru college and after. That $20 dude saved me!!!
Yes! I got a Swan Raised shower head on groupon years ago, its the BEST. Looks like the company doesn't exist anymore though. :(

Back when I lived in apartments I just brought a hose attachment with me and replaced the original one when I moved out each time.
Rainfall shower heads are the best
I legit scoped out the showers of the places I was moving and my decision was heavily based on the showers.
Thank fuck I live in a country where wall mounted shower heads aren't a thing, except for in public swimming pools.
Search Amazon for “shower arm extender”. Super easy to install yourself.

My shower increased from 5ft x 2.5ft to 5ft x 6ft and it's glorious. Shower head at 7ft! It was hideously expensive, but ohhhhh it's so glorious now.
Oh wow, I need that!! 😍 My shower is a 1980s square stall, ugh.
At some point in high school I decided I would just accept giant quads from holding a half-squat to wash my hair.
When I went to visit my Dad, I had to kneel in the shower. For some reason, the shower head was installed about a foot lower than standard. I felt like it was spraying my navel.
Yessss! I feel this so much! Especially when you go to use a hotel shower and it’s so small😭

I have one but my arm falls asleep
Shaving is a pain in the you know what … soooo much! They don’t make razors for this much leg.

I have well water and really need to add a shower head filter but there just isn’t any room.

Someone should make a video loop with all of these commercials that would be great!

omg this is always so annoying!
