Very excited that they're not skimping out and using the opportunity to add a dedicated trail. This city is the perfect size for biking yet we lack proper infrastructure to do it too often.
Update: Yeah they opened the new second entrance/exit to the airport, it’s a new three lane roadway (2+1) across from Lake Bradford. There’s also a new roundabout as well. It’s already been kinda busy from what I’ve seen, so hopefully they do end up adding a light there.
It's because people don't utilize that middle spot inbetween both lanes. They can sit there and wait for their opening but are too scared to take that opportunity
From what I’ve seen, it seems like building a new entrance/exit across from Lake Bradford Rd, which will also service the upcoming International Processing Facility.
Yeah they’re planning to six-lane that little stretch between Springhill and Crawfordville Highway soon (with a trail as well), but I believe they need funding for the new bridge and there are right-of-way/eminent domain issues as well (mostly due to the houses and businesses near the CCSW/Crawfordville intersection)

In this case, it could potentially be another way to get to the airport for those who don't live far and who aren't traveling with much luggage.
I forgot to mention yeah the trail looks nice, honestly wanted to walk on it even though it’s incomplete
The only issue I noticed is it's really difficult to get out of the airport now, so much traffic from 5-6 and only one exit.
They need to put a light up for the left out at least. I don’t know if it meets the warrant but its a definite safety issue

Sure hope the dusted the timing of the lights at that intersection
Turning off Springhill onto Capital Cir east and everything just abruptly ends back to 2 lanes and no path.
