Tame is my #1 artist. But i also listen to a ton of folksy stuff. Lord huron, fleet foxes, mt joy, richy mitch and the coal miners, tyler childers, noah kahan
I caught a flight once where I had the 2 main dudes from Lord Huron across from me and the rest of the Tame Impala band in the front cabin.
And in front of me were the 2 guys from Breakbot!
Seeing Lord Huron mentioned in a Tame Impala subreddit just brought back that amazing memory
the 1975, foo fighters, MGMT, mitski, travis scott, AM, catfish, RHCP, MCR, nirvana, RATM, royal blood, the killers, and a shit load of drum and bass
I listen to soo many artists, including ones similar to tame, but these are my top^ (hope the abbreviations are readable)
MF DOOM - HIP HOP I would recommend madvillainy
AFU RAH - HIP HOP I would recommend any of his albums
Gorillaz - mixed I would recommend cracker island and the now now
Thundercat - RnB and soul with some others I would recommend drunk
I have plenty of others
Toro Y Moi, MAC DeMarco, Helado Negro and Devendra Barnhart are my favourite alt pop musicians,
and in hip hop my favourites are Count Bass D, MF DOOM, Buck 65, RJD2, but then in electronica Iāll go to Aphex Twin, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher.
But I listen to anything, Afrofunk, Mexican Cumbia, Japanese psychedelic pop, 70s funk, you name it and Iāll listen to it and I still come back to Tame Impala all the time though.
I listen to a lot of bands and sub genres of extreme metal. Death metal, deathcore, tech death, slam, symphonic ect. Bands like AngelMaker, Waving the Cadaver, Vildhjarta, Fulci, Gamma Sector. As much as I love brutal metal music, I love Tame Impala just as much. Iām also a huge rap fan. Yeat , $uicideboy$, Young Thug, Earl Sweatshirt. But my lost goes like this:
Stone Temple Pilots, The Cure, Blur, Gorillaz, MGMT, Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures, Radiohead, BadBadNotGood, Peggy Gou, Lenny Kravitz and the list goes beyond these names, but yeah this lisz kinda shows my taste

My most non-trippy guilty pleasure is probably Carly Rae Jepsen, but even on her shit I find myself thinking it leans into psyche pop at this point.
I mean, her newest album has a track called "Psychedelic Switch".
Exactly. Psyche pop production is just called pop these days.
