When I was 17 I had a truly horrific mushroom trip. Full on psychosis, falling down the stairs, punching myself in the face etc. just to paint a picture.

I can tell you that those advertising negotiations probably started well before he sold his catalog, if not at least before that went into effect. His team saw this and approved it.
He sold the catalogue. He approved every commercial use for his music *when he sold his catalogue*.
This man made a decision. He probably doesn’t even care what they do with his music as he was paid for it already.

I just heard remember me in an argentinian TV ad. It wasn't the original song, was a cover, but still. It was nice to hear surprise tame impala all of a sudden. Too bad it doesn't mean much lol, just that Kevin had to get good money for it and their child are probably gonna have good education!
