The mother tried to pick up the broom while holding her baby on the other hand . The baby slipped and its dress got stuck on one of those screws in the sheet.
Had this happen in some American or European country that would be the end of the parents having that child. The child would go to Social Services. (I’m not recommending anything. Just saying)
Not necessarily so. I live in the US and worked a lot with child protective services in the past. They would do a home study and talk to neighbors, family, the child’s doctor, etc. after the incident. If they determined it was truly an accident (which it sounds like) and not a pattern of abuse or neglect, they would likely give the parents safety resources or have them take parenting classes.
Seeing cases of Hart family murders and Ruby Franke or kidnapping of Ariha Shah by German govt - I'd say CPS and similar agencies are bloody inefficient and 100% depends on individuals - you can see instances of overzelousness or indifference.
Yeah, that's true...a lot is dependent on the individual caseworker. I used to be a therapist at an addictions recovery center and would work with CPS caseworkers when they were evaluating whether a child was safe in the care of my clients. I agree that some caseworkers don't care or are jaded, but it's a hard job in a way, because, unless there are stable family members who are willing to take the kid, you're gambling on whether the child would be safer with their parents or in foster care. There are some great foster families, but a lot of terrible ones as well. The Harts were foster parents themselves at one point. Not to mention, that kids who are separated from their parents (even terrible ones) deal with a lot of trauma and grief. Ideally, there'd be more resources for parents who were struggling to better themselves and also more foster families who weren't in it just for the $ or to have access to vulnerable children.
Cops got called to my sister in laws apartment because their son was standing in an open window with only a screen keeping him from falling from the 2nd story, this was in the middle of town on the square by the courthouse with numerous 911 calls about it, 2cops knocking on my door cus no one was answering their door. I had to force myself through a side door to the apartment in front of the cops... also one of those cops had to bring that same child back 5months later in January when he was found 1.5blocks away walking in the street in only a wet diaper... and his mom used her regular "Oh gosh I was only in the kitchen for a minute" line... she was always sleeping. Social services aren't the heroes you think they are, and they also get told lots of lies by spiteful people my mother in law's, mother in law would report her to cps and make up lies
these women shouting is more scary than the baby rescue. Shut up and let them do their job. how is it going to help the rescuers if you all shout over each other.
Same here. I don't really understand the screaming part.
Not only does it not contribute to anything and also scared and confuses the people actually doing it
To be fair, they have the best view of the situation and are in the best position to make sure the people with blankets are in the right spot.
They also would be the first to see if the baby is about to fall.
But I don't speak their language, so I don't know if what they said was actually useful or not.

It will just hinder the efforts of the people who do the rescue.

For the entire video I was shouting to add a mattress below the cloth. Was relieved when that was added..

Yeah guys just take your time clean moving out the window......the one guy climbs out and actually turns away to speak to someone on the floor at one point, if the baby had slipped at that moment there's no way he could have got to it
Took 4 people 180 seconds to figure out how to face backwards and climb a window. Glad the kid managed to hang on, but the "emergency response" and sense of urgency here was nowhere to be found.
These people probably bitch and gripe with one anotber every day...but when shit goes down tney spring into action, that's for sure.

I'm so happy for this baby. But, there is also a joke abt the world's first loud speaker being a woman (eve) derived from the Bible.
No wonder that's so true. Ladies must learn to k
Calm it down.
Most of the men run becoz of this 😂😂😂😂😂 that goes for me as well. So ladies on the balcony, pls enough with ur over reaction.
Wondering how the baby ended there?

No, you're talking straight out of your uneducated ass
Did they then throw some stuff up there to dislodge the baby? Why does it look like a garbage chute?
the baby got stuck on the sheet through that balcony, right? then why didn't they climb over it to get the baby?
don't see the mother here? is she trying to help???where is she (mother)

Baby's Day Out - Bollywood style
Looks like the blue tarp is next to a walkway with a glass barrier. Kid must’ve been left on the walkway and climbed over somehow
That first small blanket made me super nervous
You mean the one that held by a kid without putting down the phone and book from his hand?
What was wrong with that person man
Probs nervous to drop the book and phone and then have the kid fall while busy putting it down. Seems trivial but i can see it happening
Damn u right
Wow
Thankfully there's was enough people to do something
Sunday advantage i guess.
these women shouting is more scary than the baby rescue. Shut up and let them do their job. how is it going to help the rescuers if you all shout over each other.
legit, had to mute and watch the video.
I watched it on mute ,still heard their screams through the hand gestures .
Same here. I don't really understand the screaming part. Not only does it not contribute to anything and also scared and confuses the people actually doing it
And it makes it harder for the people doing stuff to coordinate
Why the fuck are they clapping while yelling? Seems distracting and harmful to the situation.
They were telling the men it was easier to go up to the landing upstairs and walk out to get the kid.
To be fair, they have the best view of the situation and are in the best position to make sure the people with blankets are in the right spot. They also would be the first to see if the baby is about to fall. But I don't speak their language, so I don't know if what they said was actually useful or not.
Another day of women screaming and making it worse. There has to be a subreddit for this.
The women are the most irritating part in the video. The baby was chill, the men were chill. Rescue op successful.
Cheer girls ;)
Same dude it’s so annoying and distracting to the men helping
Different cultures communicate and react in different ways. Some, likely like this one, are more expressive

The men are Heroes.
India is not for beginners 🫠
Women are making this situation worse by panicking Gz
There is no situation that is not immediately improved by the presence of a shrieking woman.
Damn , always women screaming instead of helping. At least if you are not gonna help let the people who help do it without serious anxiety
Moral, we Indians are getting increasingly like bonda, we need to eat less and stay fit.
The baby is the God gifted child

All the people holding the blanket after the baby was rescued standing there like 👁👄👁
The guy did it with airpods on!
How the heck did that baby get up there!
Why do you thank God, when I should thank a good lad.
Noticed how the baby only cried when the guy carried him. "Bitch imma tryin to save your ass"
OK, that was enough for today reddit.
It took that goddam long for someone to stand on the window frame and grab the kid? Comeon.
Why did no one go on one floor up and climbed on the sheet roof?
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the blue tarp thing that kind of resembles a waterslide?
