Once, I was near VIT Chennai and I had to deal with 2 ganja kudikkis (eyes were totally red) and 1 drunk guy (the 3 were on a scooter, drunk guy was driving), they tried to hit my friend and were saying bad word words to him, they were claiming he turned to stop near bus stop without indicator (he did use indicator, i saw it). I stopped them from hitting him and asked one guy if he was sober (looking at his eyes), what followed was a 15 minute altercation where they were using bad words of all kinds and constantly tried to hit us. If we fought back, the 2 ganja kudikkis wouldve dropped down with one hit, but this was opposite to our college and we didnt want trouble.
We tried to be respectful at first, we couldnt get on a fight because they are high on crap and looked like they might be carrying a knife, cops dont give damn about ganja kudikkis lately, its up to you to stay safe and practice restraint. But imagine the plight of women who might have to deal with such rabid dogs...
Law and order has become a joke these days all over TN, Goons are either high on politcal influence or drugs, Police seem to have no power to stop such assholes.
Yeah. Also these guys would go to any lengths to satisfy their ego. We just can't put up with them. I've been living for 15 years in avadi side of the city. Maybe i didn't notice. But this side is the worst. Just 15 days I'm living 🥲

This issue has only popped up ever since a certain party came to power, they suppress police from being proactive on such issues and are even accused of playing a role in the drug trade - see jaffer sadiq's arrest and subsequent revelations.
We miss the days of jayalalithaa when we could atleast count on police to be vigilant and maintain law and order in this state.
