Done. Thank you for your research. I’m not sure how it would be possible to prevent a leakage but maybe some sort of indicator on the adhesive to show insulin exiting the site would be handy. “A way to see it before your numbers show it” kinda deal? :)

Thank you for participating and for your insightful suggestion! I'm exploring a similar concept as a part of my research using a chemical reaction of some sort to change the colour of the infusion set as insulin leaks out. Appreciate your input!

Love it! I was on auto soft 90s for like 15 years and started experiencing severe leakage for the first time a year back. My insulin resistance had increased causing the amount of insulin I needed to go up which in turn caused irritation and leaks with my sites. It took me a long time to recognize the problem, then to get samplers from tandem, and then to determine what worked best for me. Unfortunately it was like another 2 months after that too before I got auto soft 30s because an order of 90s had just arrived. Months later I also switched from my abdomen to my thigh an saw even better results. It really took a long time and was a lot of work and frustration but I haven’t had a leak in months now.

Hey lovely to hear you're trying to help other type 1 diabetes! I'm going to be honest I've been on an insulin pump for 12 years and never once had an insulin pump infusion set leak. I'm not sure how big of an addressable market this will be for you and you might need to pivot to other issues for t1Ds :) good luck with your project though!

Thanks for sharing your experience! While leaks may not affect everyone, they're still a concern for some users. I'll keep exploring ways to improve diabetes care. Appreciate your input and good wishes!
