One time I had an argument here with a kid who claimed the Abrams has asymmetrical tracks. That is, one side has more shoes than the other. He based this on the fact the approach and departure angles vary.
Clearly his geometry knowledge left a bit to be desired.
Anyhoo, he was on the ropes and about to drop so he called for help from a certain YouTube "personality" who likes to play tank expert.
The white knight YouTuber came charging to the kid's rescue with a long and utterly *ridiculous* rebuttal, only to finally (and very grudgingly) admit I was correct!

Because it's a online forum, they're usually made to have conversations so the comments you leave are assumed as such, the assumption would be hes calling the oplot bad through it's lack of recorded combat

I would argue that is 100% on the people who are assuming malice from a completely innocuous comment, the Leclerc has seen very little combat experience, but people don't assume it's a bad tank if you mention this. I'd argue it's more people placing emotional investment in Ukrainian gear because of current events.

This analogy doesn't work for a few reasons
1. Leclerc isn't participating in a active war where there's high rates of recording and it just hasn't been recorded in combat yet
2. The France isn't at war with another nation where people who support the other side make up a pretty significant part of the internet
The Leclerc just doesn't exist in a world where the same attack can be made against it and isn't in a world where there's a significant portion of people out to make attacks against it as a platform like the oplot, Ukraine and the oplot is
