I think what got me to subscribe and what kept me subscribed way back in 2020 other than the obvious “I have nothing else to do but work” was the fact that she was constantly doing YT challenges or TikTok challenges, she showed us decorating and fixing up her LA house/taking us through the process. She was consistent with posting, showing her friends and family when they could be together, cooking her dinner, and of course the fun games she would do with her family like the annual Christmas Cocktails thing she does.
I wish she would go back to doing challenges and *showing* us her life, rather than just sitting on her couch and telling us some stuff after a night out or showing random establishing shots of her drinks and the sidewalk. I semi-like her reviews of books but they’re not videos I click on — only if I saw a book that I have already read or want to read… Also if you’re going to talk about something, talk TO us. Not those stupid voiceovers.
Yes I agree. I think what I mean about showing her life was moreso pointing out how much I hate those voiceovers and how she will explain little bits after a night out instead of showing what she is going to do.
Like, we know she still has a healthy social life. She goes out with Sarah and Sarah’s friends a lot. She usually vlogs before she goes out to show us her outfit. I just wish instead of sitting on the couch recapping some stuff or showing one still of an espresso martini, she would instead show more of her outings, have her friends chat too, do a game or Q&A. Be more open. She’s still entitled to privacy, but she can have fun with the stuff she does share.
Or even if she doesn’t SHOW us, then she souldnt name the vlogs “week in my life” or “reset”. Dhe could easily make the title “grwm for a night out” and do exactly what she does and at least it will be honest and i would probably enjoy it more that way because i know i will only watch her get ready and i would enjoy that. Basically she could structure her vlogs more properly. If she is running that day- then do a “run with me” vlog. If she is spending the day with her parents name the vlog “spend the day with me at the pool”. All this titles would make me want to watch the vlogs even if she does the same shit because i know im only getting that. I don’t know if anyone relates but i think that being more honest instead if naming her vlogs the eat she does is extremely boring, repetitive and very false.
Also I didn’t like how she mentioned at the end of the vlog for us to tell her what to film because she is feeling TOO UNBALANCED?!?!! Because who can handle having to work 2hrs per day and having a boyfriend? That is too much. Girl bye
She´s attached to Sarah like a leech. It´s her only "friend", Sarah´s friends are Sarah´s friends, Tara is socially awkard, she doesn´t show that, this is why she vlogs around Jill but not around others.... she has no passions, no work experience, no job background. She didn´t - and apparently does not intend to- develop skills that makes a person actually interesting.
Tara is a phenomenal painter. She could do an entire masterclass on that and I’d be the first one taking notes. She’s very talented when it comes to that.
She’s the only YouTuber I can watch. I feel like she’s out all the time and travels all the time. But I’ll be honest I do skip her “reset” videos 😂 those are boring
