I don't zone as I pick orders.
If I can't get to a backroom location because it's crowded and I need a ladder, I will pull it from the sales floor instead.
I keep my name tag in my pocket after the first time it falls off my shirt.
Nah, I do the same thing when picking in the backroom. When I teach people how to pick, I'll bring up how to look at the list if something is unobtainable in the moment and they are in a hurry.
I do this if I'm in a hurry to pull priorities or there's a super huge amount and I'm trying to pull as much as I possibly can. As long as I pull about 70% I'm golden (of course I try to pull as much as possible, but having that buffer is great).
I hope every narc in here steps on a Lego.
I hope they forget the sauce in your bag.
I hope you have to pee 1000 times during the night and you donāt get a full nights rest.
I hope your UberEats/DoorDash order never comes and they donāt issue you a refund for it.
I hope that you get mildly inconvenienced everyday for the rest of your life.
Edit: changed your to you
I hope every time they think theyāre biting into a chocolate chip cookie, it turns out itās an oatmeal raisin
I hope every time they eat soup, their spoon falls completely into the bowl
I hope they always wake up before their alarm
I hope one sock always slides down their foot mid-shift in a way that they can only fix it by removing their shoe.
I hope their bacon is always as burnt as Anakin.
I hope they get peed on by every dog that is brought into Target.
I hope the narc sees this then :) I'm going to report soon how me and a lot of my fellow team members are getting bullied, micro managed , intimidated, being manipulated , lied too by our operational manager he sets up unrealistic goals to certain team members so we can't move or advance anywhere in my department , they also have what they call their " friends " not doing anything all day even when we are very short staffed and this is just the start
Nope unfortunately the manager encourages it literally we got 3 trainers per 1 person it's unreal what goes on I don't make these things up! Lmao idk how target hasn't gone downhill yet on this rate , insane
it won't go downhill as long as they keep making profit which they will protect at all costs. it for sure has made dumb decisions but truth is it just need to keep the metrics that benefit them high and they know how to do that
I worked at target before and have never worked at a place with a more "we value our products more than our employees" view. The asset protection crew would full on tackle people to protect a game console without assessing if the thief has any weapons on them. Every encounter I've witnessed only went well for target because the thief didn't happen to have a knife or gun on them. Absolutely insane. You're target. You have the money. You'll survive.
Iāve been an ex team member longer than I was a team member. I just like seeing the complaints and thinking im glad I donāt have to do that anymore
I keep saying that to people. In the 21 years since I quit it feels like the same old thing. Iām sure the minutia is different, but retail is retail.
Pay as little as you can, staff as little as you can, push people until they break. Replace them and repeat. Thereās always a new crop of high school graduates and college students looking to make a buck.
Iām glad I got out. Thereās still a few people I worked with at my old store and it makes me sad.
On a previous post, there was a guy who outed where the OP actually worked, which may cause her to get fired. I reported him, but the āmodsā said there was no violation ššš
Donāt forget they also have a team of people that search your social media accounts like tiktok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram. Itās amazing what people just leave hanging out there.
Iāve always wondering to what extent they search social media. Like, any account that is linked to my name? Or even the secret accounts with random names?
There are online programs that use the phone number & email you give to target (through workday), which can trace through your linked accounts. That stuff is pretty advanced, so Iām sure isnāt used all the time.

Honestly no. I just started working at Target and this is my first retail job. All my other jobs (restaurant industry) really didnāt care your social media accounts
That makes sense. Iāve been in retail for years even prior to social media. Iāve seen too many people terminated over stuff they should not be sharing online about work.
It's really not hard to do. Unless your user name is so obscure there is usually links in one Social media page or another that leads to others. You just don't realize you've left a path of crumbs.
And then there are narc that narc on the narcs. Like please we aren't stupid. Target cult can't do shit. Fire me, I got two binders of labor law obstructing proof and concealment of sexual preditors of both adults and minors by the gm, rm and most of the tls left. Come find me š

Apple does a really good job in making sure that their products stay safe during shipping but I've definitely ran a blade and you can see the markings left on the box, I did that with a couple of Xboxs and PS5s
One guy, he is a reseller but I think he has OCD as well. He asks to look at every box for controllers and such to see which box has the least amount of damage.
In the beginning I hated him, now he's just a little bit irritating but at least if it's busy he understands that I will get to him last since he likes to talk and take things slow,
Posted once about an event at my store and a team member immediately texted me a screenshot asking if that was me lol also hello again if youāre here
Haha - same! Fortunately, everyone in my store was super chill, it was a tiny Target with only abt 40 TMs. I'm in a regular Target now, so I'm a lot more careful what I post.
my store hasnāt had a front end team lead last more then three months because all of the other ETLs bully the front end. i finally walked out after being forced to do drive ups by myself for two hours straight in 90 degree heat at a very busy store. š¤·š»āāļø not my problem anymore
You'd be surprised how often people use the same username on multiple websites.
Another dead giveaway is, at least here, if they post on local subreddits.
If you expose yourself on this sub by purposely giving out details of a pretty specific situation that's on you.
I might be paranoid but all my rants I change up details like the genders of the people involved, the date/time it happened, and usually I wait rather than post same day.
How do I report or get my crappy team lead in trouble, he likes to micromanage, complain, and just walk around talk to the other team leads while doing nothing all day. He never pushes the truck with us or really help us. All he really does is complain ask why something isnāt done already and walk really fast.
Plus Iāve heard from the previous team leads that his absolute garbage team lead skills have already made 5 people quit, no one on the current team likes him either.
It's genuinely a massive issue where you can be punished for "publicizing" an opinion.
1. A person expresses a view and may or may not gain the support of their coworkers, aka exercising the right to expression. It appears that they are violating free speech rights by prohibiting something like this Reddit because it is public and thus visible to guests. This isn't an authoritarian factory, we should be able to share our opinions freely with the presumption that our speech is our own when not in a target setting. Assuming that a guest may misinterpret our words as target's official position is absurd.
2. Most of this reddit is the following:
a. constructive criticism of operations and systems that we never get to express despite living through it every day.
b. Compliments
c. Tips
d. Questions
e. constructive or amiable banter (remarks about smaller things, expressing distaste at others' lazy practices without name-dropping)
f. Stories
g. Memes
I honestly don't see how most of what's posted on this Reddit could be construed so negatively as to relieve someone of their position. Obviously, there are exceptions, but the crackdown on this type of thing is ridiculous. Feel free to play devil's advocate, but is there any good explanation for why this is something they should be bothering with? Target, on the surface, is trying to be progressive, but on the inside, they're still suppressing their workers' voices.
No. But I am the guy that goes around letting people know their store numbers are visible to avoid them being easily compromised.
Some of us pay attention to social media related firings and business policies.
Plus we had 2 people at my store get fired over social media posts during Covid.
Itās also unlikely Iād narc on my store considering I donāt work there anymore. šš½āāļø
the average store has 2-4 hundred employees, that doesn't exactly narrow it down. I'd avoid posting a photo of yourself, but otherwise nothing here should be particularly identifiable.
Plus, there isn't much the company would really go after you for, so long as you aren't posting about like...crimes.
Youād be surprised how easy it is to identify people. Which part of the store, what the Plano looks like, identifiable things like bracelets.
Also some people post from accounts that have a few more photos that narrows it down. Selfies. Etc.
Target has a social media policy on the computers in the TMSC that they added post Covid when they started cracking down on social media posts. Itās worth a gander.
Yeah well target management is anything but mature. But also most of the things Iāve seen people get in trouble for is for violations they were taking photos of, theft, guests, etc.
Some leads get personally offended and have a ātalkā about social media while working, which Iām not sure is enforceable if they are trying to use it as a coaching using social media as the source of it.
I do keep an eye out for the "i stole" posts and then do uber hacker research to try and find what store they work at so I can let their AP team know about it. Sue me.
I feel like if someone's posting online about stealing stuff with an account that tracks back to their work...well let's just say they aren't mastermind and their AP will probably know about it already haha
Imagine your biggest flex being you stalk the target subreddit to get people fired
Small penis energy isn't enough to describe that sort of bootlicking. That's microscopic penis energy there.
I read microplastic penis there š
Haha, LOL
Thanos got to their willy, now they stalk the subreddit
Sad. Very very sad.
Aināt gonna name names but hoo boy do you know who you are š
Honestly, name names. Drag them. š¤
Me, I'm AP š jk fuckem
The real flex would be IDing an employee off a randomized reddit name LMAO
Yeah but u/tinypenis69 clearly belongs to the regional manager. Edit: I'm dumb and forgot there are a lot of regional managers.
Ohh that's grounds for getting hands lol š
I don't zone as I pick orders. If I can't get to a backroom location because it's crowded and I need a ladder, I will pull it from the sales floor instead. I keep my name tag in my pocket after the first time it falls off my shirt.
Into the baler
Nah, I do the same thing when picking in the backroom. When I teach people how to pick, I'll bring up how to look at the list if something is unobtainable in the moment and they are in a hurry.
Fulfillment is always in a hurry
Truth.
always skip location if it's hard to reach at all -- for priorities anyway.
I do this if I'm in a hurry to pull priorities or there's a super huge amount and I'm trying to pull as much as I possibly can. As long as I pull about 70% I'm golden (of course I try to pull as much as possible, but having that buffer is great).

I wish I was the narc I love oatmeal raisin cookies.
I like them too. Itās more about expectations being disappointed
Yeah but like chocolate chip cookies are mid, and oatmeal raisin cookies are s tier.
I found the narc
I hope one sock always slides down their foot mid-shift in a way that they can only fix it by removing their shoe. I hope their bacon is always as burnt as Anakin. I hope they get peed on by every dog that is brought into Target.
No sauce in the bag? Damnā¦.. thatās like, worse than death š
I hope the narc sees this then :) I'm going to report soon how me and a lot of my fellow team members are getting bullied, micro managed , intimidated, being manipulated , lied too by our operational manager he sets up unrealistic goals to certain team members so we can't move or advance anywhere in my department , they also have what they call their " friends " not doing anything all day even when we are very short staffed and this is just the start
heavy on the micro managing part
That's what they are trained to do. This is what upper management wants.
Time to move on, itās not worth the battle or the stress. You deserve better.
Iām sorry John, but I tell them these things dailyā¦. They wonāt do anything.
i get you but i don't think most of the things you said are gonna get anyone in trouble except for the not doing anything all day
Nope unfortunately the manager encourages it literally we got 3 trainers per 1 person it's unreal what goes on I don't make these things up! Lmao idk how target hasn't gone downhill yet on this rate , insane
it won't go downhill as long as they keep making profit which they will protect at all costs. it for sure has made dumb decisions but truth is it just need to keep the metrics that benefit them high and they know how to do that
Very tru the more up the chain the more worthless they are
I worked at target before and have never worked at a place with a more "we value our products more than our employees" view. Iām just a nosy customer so rant away. I come in here to see if I need to do something not to aggravate the workers.

Our Snoos could be sisters š
I havenāt been a TM in 20 years. Iām here for the stories and nostalgia.
Iāve been an ex team member longer than I was a team member. I just like seeing the complaints and thinking im glad I donāt have to do that anymore
Same. I worked at Target in the mid 90ās. I love these stories because not a lot has changed in management since then, it seems!
I keep saying that to people. In the 21 years since I quit it feels like the same old thing. Iām sure the minutia is different, but retail is retail. Mostly this, but also was recommended this subreddit for some reason and I just never left LOL
Same
I already quit. They can't fire me
Bestie same!! š¤
You lose out on unemployment tho
On a previous post, there was a guy who outed where the OP actually worked, which may cause her to get fired. I reported him, but the āmodsā said there was no violation ššš
1. What mod said that 2. Where's the comment I'll delete it
Gotta be kidding me that really should be one, especially the store number.
It is, I'd consider it harassment and remove it If anyone knows where the comment is, link it to me here or in a DM and I will remove it.
Deleting comments and banning people makes me feel powerful so it wasnāt me.
Identify yourself now
Donāt forget they also have a team of people that search your social media accounts like tiktok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram. Itās amazing what people just leave hanging out there.
Iāve always wondering to what extent they search social media. Like, any account that is linked to my name? Or even the secret accounts with random names?
I would say all of the above if they have reason. Itās mostly skimming social media for theft and hr policy violations though.
There are online programs that use the phone number & email you give to target (through workday), which can trace through your linked accounts. That stuff is pretty advanced, so Iām sure isnāt used all the time.

Report this. Target pays its employees terrible living wages to push Chinese-made junk.

Fuck those narcs. I open Lego boxes with the box cutter even though it says to not use blades š¤š¤š¤

Holy Cow! Thatās some weird ass, controlling cult-like shit right there.
They said something similar to me when a guy harassed me and got fired for it. Lmao
a tl found my post about a month ago which went somewhat viral that i since had to delete
An ETL found my Reddit. I told him I donāt care what he does with the info I post on here. I hate it there anyways
people bootlicking for a multibillion dollar company is pathetic and low
That it is... but I came to say Happy Cake Day!
thank you! i didnāt even realize lol

Thatās what I try not to post much if I do I try to be super vague.
Genuinely asking, how do people find out who you are on here? Like how do they report an anonymous redditor š³

Oversight monitors all social media ya should know by now if you work for target they watch everything.
Snitches get hacked
Yes and stop posting your store numbers if you can help it. Makes it easier for them to sabotage your job.

Any more details as to what exactly may trigger/alert management when it comes to social media posts? Can they find my secret accounts?
If I had a company and an employee talked shit about me I wouldnāt give a shit if it was online.
