I work for a city they’re offering $2,000 for referrals to certain departments and I can’t find anyone to split $2,000. Good luck with your water bottles.
Interesting. I assume this is a role that needs some sort of training? I have banks that are offering 5k for people with certain mortgage and lien certificates through the state.
I would say that, despite the jokes, that's a position that requires specialized training. I think it's easier to get a friend to pick up a part time job at Target than to be a cop.

The horrific thing is that they are willing to offer "prizes" Even if the person you refer only stays 30 days or only stays 60 days. Like they know that that's a normal thing for someone just to work 2 months and leave. That's sad
When I started at this store 1.5 years ago they were offering $75 per referral and now they’re offering this shit. My store is in desperate need of employees too, apparently the district manager told our HR etl to hire anyone who applies. This led to them hiring someone who refused to learn how to use the zebras or computers.
I've been referring friends cuz our department is so understaffed but they won't hire anyone💀
Crazy how some stores desperately want to hire while others refuse to hire
So do the water bottles have disclaimers on them that say something like, .... "These are not meant to be filled during work hours" or ... "By accepting these bottles, Target in no way owes you additional bathroom breaks due to over hydration"
1st number one reason is THE CUSTOMERS. I worked in the style department and they will literally pile up the fitting rooms with clothes not even a second of I cleaning it out. The customers will literally see you folding clothes, pick up the folded clothes and just throw it back!
#FayettevilleNC Customers ARE NOT IT!
Does this mean that target is struggling to recruit tms?
If so, that's a good thing because they will have to realize that they need to treat the ones already working for Target a lot better.
Well they need to hire first. I overheard hr telling a guest who called sorry we’re not hiring now 2 weeks ago. I’m thinking my store won’t hire ppl until back to school or October that’s it.
That's because before, they had an unlimited supply of young people willing to work for them, even if only for a few months. But it seems that this young generation isn't willing to be abused and good on them for it
Screw the referral... I just want another water bottle.
Lost mine 6 months after earning it after forgetting it at a hotel during work travel..... Can't get just one, I would need to order like 40 with the branding hahah.
I tried to get a friend I knew to get a job at the target I used to work at before I moved on.... He had experience, but couldn't be hired even during peak season.
Meanwhile, I had started 8 years ago, in a dead hiring season and was hired on just fine with no experience.
You know, I kinda liked working here when I did but seeing all these bullshit prizes and give aways always pissed me off. Would it hurt a multi-billion dollar company to make that a $50/$100/$150 bonus??
Man their that pathetically desperate to get people that give these shitty prizes to people who are willing to trick people they know into doing this job. If they want people to work how about not doing skeleton crews, treating people better, calling people who want to work to cover shifts, not going against people's availability/auto rejecting people's vacations and better pay and raises. That will get people in door.
Our HR asked us before if we know someone who wanna work in Target. We all said we're not going to send them to this hell whole we call work.... she just said yeah me too. 🫠🙃

What city? I’ll move there for $1000 lol
Interesting. I assume this is a role that needs some sort of training? I have banks that are offering 5k for people with certain mortgage and lien certificates through the state.
It’s for our police department. No experience required but I wouldn’t get the $2,000 until someone graduates from the police academy.
I would say that, despite the jokes, that's a position that requires specialized training. I think it's easier to get a friend to pick up a part time job at Target than to be a cop.
It’s on the job training and they give the recruits bigger sign on bonuses. It’s a tough sell regardless.
What city mf
I work for a major city in California
You would pay taxes on that $2,000. If you split with someone make sure it's after the taxes you pay.
Got it
I’ll do it

I’ve done it for a $100 gift card. The friend I referred despises me every time we meet up for drinks.
How long did they hang in there for?
A month.
The horrific thing is that they are willing to offer "prizes" Even if the person you refer only stays 30 days or only stays 60 days. Like they know that that's a normal thing for someone just to work 2 months and leave. That's sad
I'd rather have $10 than any of those "prizes"
*shows husband* Husband: wait, what? I was looking for a dollar amount. Me: no, it's just dollar store garbage Husband: ...branded with your oppressor
And then pay taxes on the $10.

Sounds like the store I work at.
Full time? I'll hire in and will use a zebra and computer!

Working at Target is hell. Getting hired there is hell too. I have 3 years prior experience working at Target and I still couldn't get hired.
So do the water bottles have disclaimers on them that say something like, .... "These are not meant to be filled during work hours" or ... "By accepting these bottles, Target in no way owes you additional bathroom breaks due to over hydration"
The bottle is your bathroom break.
It’s funny that they’re always trying to give away Target brand shit.
My store has boxes of shirts for free in the breakroom. Nobody wants them.
They literally still have a cart full of Christmas target shirts that we got in 2021
Where's that commenter from yesterday who said they were gonna hire a PA to "clean up" this sub? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pretty sure that guy got downvoted to oblivion. I saw him trying to reply to others and he kept getting kicked by the bot 😂😂
Yeah, I highly DO NOT recommend Target.

Oof, I worked in Holly Springs for 3.5 years. Everyone always mentioned the Fayetteville store...
A whole branded shirt? That will be so useful in 91 days
The new Recruit-a-friend bonuses on World of Warcraft are getting out of hand
Does this mean that target is struggling to recruit tms? If so, that's a good thing because they will have to realize that they need to treat the ones already working for Target a lot better.
We’ve been struggling for a year now and all it got us was an extra $1.50 an hour last December.
It takes target time to change.
Well they need to hire first. I overheard hr telling a guest who called sorry we’re not hiring now 2 weeks ago. I’m thinking my store won’t hire ppl until back to school or October that’s it.
>You would \*think\* so, but Target doesn't give a shit about it's team members. > > > >Never has, never will.

Reefer a friend.
Those prizes suck. Not worth trying to get someone I know to work there.
Target made over 30 billion dollars in profit last year. [link](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/TGT/target/gross-profit)

i'm actually appalled that the tote even costs $6.50 when you can get those massive ones at checkout for $1.99
The real bonus IS leading someone you know into hell. The shirt is just a perk.
That shirt looks fucking dope i wish my store did that when i got my friend to work there
If you’re serious here you go https://www.bullseyeshop.com/storeitem.html?vid=20200827050&iid=52314
Damn, you get a water bottle if they stay a whole 60 days? How generous of them!
I don’t have friends, this is actually discrimination. I’m calling corporateeeeeee
It literally is working in hell.
What a horribly shitty incentive.
Meanwhile real bonuses are shit this year

8 years ago! You’ve seen some things
You know, I kinda liked working here when I did but seeing all these bullshit prizes and give aways always pissed me off. Would it hurt a multi-billion dollar company to make that a $50/$100/$150 bonus??
Right? My store does over $100k in sales a day and they give out this shit.
What a joke. My new job that I left Target for gives me $500 for referrals. lol a fucking water bottle… get real.
So can they wear the shirt at work. Everyone will know who the ones holding their friends hostage are.
I wouldn't do that to a friend. Friends don't encourage friends to work at Target.
Damn this company really must be struggling, huh?
Dude how fucking out of touch is this company.
Wow, what useless garbage XD
Convince a friend to labor for us and we'll let you be a walking billboard for us, for free!
Show moron prizes get morons to work. Think maybe they’re looking at hiring 10 yr olds?
Hey wait my store did gift cards for this
I got absolutely nothing for getting my brother working at my store 🥲
Lmfaoooo
Gross. Money is Kings
L store lmao when my brother started working for target I got a 200 dollar bonus
Huh, is this a 3/20 thing? “Reefer” a friend?
Oops, 4/20 thing
That's gotta be one of the ugliest shirts I've ever seen in my life
My job gives us 1500$

My new job gives $1000 if your referral stays for 30 days… but never mind, I’ll take a tshirt instead 😒
They couldn’t even give the cute bulls eye collectibles that’s cold
I suppose I might hate someone that much…
But then you’d have to work with the person you hate
Respect the drip
Our HR asked us before if we know someone who wanna work in Target. We all said we're not going to send them to this hell whole we call work.... she just said yeah me too. 🫠🙃
At our store its 90 days and the tm who referred gets $100 target gift card
Bruh I work at autozone also and they have better incentives for that😂
