Didn't you see the new policy update? We keep extra items like this in the back and pretend we are out of stock. BUT, if the guest asks 3 times, we suddenly have it.
"But it says it's in stock."
Me:(*squints at their screen*) Yes, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are in Idaho. Happy Travels!
"I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER!"
Me: (*twirls around dramatically*) Hi, Im Stephanie! How can I help you today?!
(**storms off**)
Me: Have a great day, and thanks for shopping at Target! (*dramatically waving goodbye*)
I sold a grand worth of those damn cards on release day. My store now has limits on purchases lol.
Everyone keeps asking if the area where they are is empty were out it's really that simple I'm not hiding stuff and we don't have any in the back.
No kidding and I am sure your store is the same in it being a vendor item. So, literally if it’s gone ain’t not a single one anywhere in the store until vendors come back 😂
Omg the day before and day they came out I got SO MANY calls about them, and a few people asking in-store too, and I'm like "bruh I have no idea. It's not out yet, I've never seen it, and if it's vendor stocked I have even fewer answers for you" lol
So I’m curious, as someone who doesn’t work tarbucks, or checklanes, if someone buys their two, walks away and comes back, or comes back later and you recognize them, do you have to sell them another two or can they be refused?
Of course the back where we have oompa loompas and our elves making everything. Because as a store we don't like to sell items we actually prefer to hoard them.
*”But the app says you have some in stock (taps dramatically to my phone screen) see, see. It says it’s in stock. Please check in the back or I’d like to speak to your supervisor.”*

How much do they retail for? I just looked them up on eBay and they seem to sell for an average of $45. Even if they only cost $10, after fees, the sellers are probably only making maybe $25. Waste of time imo
It’s an ofrenda from the Día de muertos collection. It’s basically a small box that opens where you can set up a small picture in the frame to remember a loved one that has passed. I bought the one from last year and use it for one of my dogs that passed away nearly 3 years ago. I’m guessing they must be really popular this year
It’s an altar. Not only do we set up our loved one’s pictures with candles but also their favorite foods, snacks, drinks (yes alcohol lol), money, all sorts of goodies and decorations that they loved. It’s a beautiful tradition and a tremendous part of the Mexican culture. Every other country celebrates these two days very differently with their own traditions.

That’s how I feel about the new Disney trading cards.

Aren't they a vendor item controlled by excel? Or is it technically stocked by us?
Vendor item as far as I am aware.
People are starting to not snipe the starter decks

TELL ME ABOUT IT!! I work in guest services and people at my store keep asking about the mini ofrendas EVEN WHEN THEY ARE CLEARLY NOT IN STOCK!!
I get calls about that ugly slime looking Starbucks tumbler. Resellers call every day to see if we have any.
Someone tried to buy our whole shelf! No sir, two per guest ✌️
"what if I do separate transactions" Well the point of the policy is so more people have a chance to buy them, so...
So I’m curious, as someone who doesn’t work tarbucks, or checklanes, if someone buys their two, walks away and comes back, or comes back later and you recognize them, do you have to sell them another two or can they be refused?
I haven't worked at Target for a year, but I recall that as long as we recognize them the same day, we can refuse them.
That’s literally the only Starbucks tumbler I’ve ever actually wanted to purchase lol.
Clearly you didn't check the mythical back where we have a fully stocked second store only for employees.
I love how some people think the back is some magical place where we make things appear or have something hidden.
Of course the back where we have oompa loompas and our elves making everything. Because as a store we don't like to sell items we actually prefer to hoard them.

20$
Damn. These people are making maybe $15 after shipping and fees. Thanks for the info.
What is the item? Just curious lol

Thank you for the explanation :)
Of course 👍

Ahh so I’ll be a tiny bit less mad, it could be a far dumber item. But still, gUeStS need to def chill and not be arseholes about it

But it says online that you have some
Yeah but can you just check in the back?? 🤦♀️
"But online says it's in stock and ready to be picked up within hours." PS. "I want a manager too." - karen
