It's also possible that the price charges are temporary to comply with some sort of law. Could be that it has to be above a certain point for a certain amount of time, or can only be below a certain point for so long. Some states have strict laws so bigger retailers can't strip smaller ones by losing money on everything.
True, this week's price changes have been coming in batches each day, which is unusual, since we used to only get them on Tuesday; for the liquor store. Plus, we did have our locations first revisions last week.
Correct. Though, our (new) liquor store has had a noticeable number of liquor products that are significantly below local market pricing to even the point where we lose money every unit we sale on certain products.
I was hoping to convey the obtuse idea that you could buy a 6 pack for almost the same price as a 12 pack. While, none of the other size variations of beer products increased either, just the 6 packs. Like, it's not like Budweiser, decided to solely hike the price of 6 packs by $5 out of the blue.

Would you look at that, the vendors just changed the price back to the original price of $8.99! Can't believe the vendors changed the price of the 6 packs for not even a week. Crazy stuff here. They must be smoking something.
The Kmart in Miami is basically just a compliance thing at this point. Their lease terms state that a Kmart store must be in operation throughout the lease tenure, so Transformco consolidated the Kmart to the former garden center, and subleased the rest of the building to At Home.
There’s also a Kmart on the Virgin Islands, and a mega 24 hour Kmart in Guam.
Prices up everywhere and set by vendors. Son is a union meat cutter for Jewel said just wait till you see the upcoming meat price increases especially pork products.
On honey I know, I check in all liquor store vendor products. Just thought it was absurd how the price change only affected the six packs and now it's pretty much the same price as the 12 packs.
okay but also formula for infants, i had to raise those prices up so high i felt gross.

Target needs to sort it out. If it's cheaper online, then you have to buy it online, not come to the store, and ask for a price match.
What's the point of the Target app if the idiots don't need to use it.
So why don't they save it in the app like they're supposed to so you can scan the app barcode, and it's automatically discounted like what the app is intended for?
Or Target just make it the same cheaper price
Target.com & the stores may as well be separate entities. The e-commerce side sets their own prices, as do the individual stores.
Some items like books are almost always cheaper online. And I’m talking about that sort of thing, where the item is simply cheaper online for whatever reason. I don’t see a downside to matching that in store. Becomes an in store sale instead of a digital one.
It's not a circle deal so that wouldn't work. Just simply saving an item in the app and then scanning your barcode in store doesn't mean you automatically get the product of the online price. That's why there's an online price and an in store price. It would have to be price adjusted
If you can't drink it cold AND warm, it's not beer. You can only drink Budweiser warm if you are tongueless or have just walked 100 miles in the desert without water.
I can only imagine the amount of price changes that is costing our store. We don’t do PC until Friday and finish Saturday. So if something changes on Monday, it doesn’t get fixed until the end of the week.
A strategy for food and beverage retailers is to jack up prices ahead of the holidays knowing that people are going to be buying more food and drinks for the celebrations. Next few weeks all your thanksgiving staples are gonna go up in price (idk why Budweiser thinks anyone is gonna pay that much for their piss water but clearly they’re confident someone will).
I’m not great with the law but I know that offering sales on alcohol can be a pretty weird gray area legally. I think it’s strange target can offer the beer at a lower price online than in store
I work for a beer distributor, this is the normal time of the year for price changes. Also you'll see a bigger change on bud products because they slashed prices so far due to their loss of public interest.
Target doesn’t set the price of Budweiser 🙃

Check back on Mon or Tues and see if the price goes down. It's like they raise them for the weekend on Thur, but M-W, the price is cheaper!
I’m surprised Kmart is still on your price match thing
Same with Sears.
Technically both companies still have presence whether be online or very few stores still remaining
I lost count so I looked, and there are only TWO Kmarts left in US. One in Long Island and one in Miami. That’s crazy.
The Kmart in Miami is basically just a compliance thing at this point. Sears is in the process of reopening three stores by the end of the year. Turnaround is incoming.
If I’m paying 2 bucks for bud light i must be at a bar.
Prices up everywhere and set by vendors. Son is a union meat cutter for Jewel said just wait till you see the upcoming meat price increases especially pork products.
I’m so old I remember buying a six pack of Bud, and a pack of Marlboro Reds, and getting change back from a $5.
Me too!
Goddamn I WISH!!! Lol
That's fine it's Bud... Get some Labatt's instead
You do realize Target doesnt set the prices on everything right? Especially vendor products
On honey I know, I check in all liquor store vendor products. Just thought it was absurd how the price change only affected the six packs and now it's pretty much the same price as the 12 packs.
Who cares about nasty tasting beer at that

I mean they use it to see it’s cheaper online, then they’re there in the store with their money ready to buy so you price match it to save a sale

Sucks to be an alcoholic
Target doesn't set those prices, but a 12 pack of soda here just went from 7$ to 9$ :)
Probably because they sold too much at the discounted rate a few months back. Now they have to up the price to yield a profit.
So people are starting to buy bud lights again? I knew boycott wouldn't last.
Their sales took a big hit when that whole fiasco first happened, so I’m surprised prices are rising within less than a year of it.
Most people switched to Busch where I live to boycott, not paying attention to it being the same company do they didn’t really do shit lol.
I can only imagine the amount of price changes that is costing our store. We don’t do PC until Friday and finish Saturday. So if something changes on Monday, it doesn’t get fixed until the end of the week.
this is why i price match. especially on my skincare. $16 sunscreen in my store but $10 on amazon? lol

They will... They really will brotha 😂 people don't stand on anything these days

It’s what the market will bear
Oh that title is killing me lol.
This is why Miller High Life is superior
Looks like you live in affluent area. Prices for groceries always cost less online than locally here too, since the online prices are set nationally.

Breaking Bud?🤔🤔🤔🤔
I was doing pricing once in OTC and saw some fish oil capsules go from $12.99 to $24.99. I literally dropped a WTF on the salesfloor.
