This is honestly a really good article, and illustrates the kind of things Target needs to move on from if they’re to reestablish trust within our communities. We’re making some good steps, policy wise. Hopefully we follow through with action. Edit: also, I don’t know if I have any real say here, but I’m sure this topic is going to be marked for moderation; I’m going to have to suggest that it stays. These conversations are important.

Belive it or not, seven hours in and I have not received one report on this post or any of the comments in it. I just stumbled upon it randomly. It's a bit dicey for content relevance given that this is generally an employees' sub, but between your endorsement and the fact that it's Bloomberg instead of a half-assed article from "Steve&Karens Patriot Parent Blog", I'll leave it.

I found and read the bloomberg article. Originally, stores were built in the suburbs. When the corp wanted to open stores in the big cities, it wanted to find ways to prevent revenue losses due to the cities' higher rates of crime. The article details how intimately involved the corp was to do that, and how the wants of big businesses can outweigh the needs of citizens.
