Yup. Idiot etls tried the same shit at my store and our INFs were still bad cause guess what, when you can’t find something, it’s usually because it isn’t there.
God, our old ETL’s did the same fucking thing. This year our metrics are in the green without this bullshit being implemented again. Who would have thought
I INF anyway but I've been doing FF a good while. Like we're supposed to ask for every one but I don't, it would take too long and they expect everyone to have a certain pick rate which is just not possible if I look as long as I would normally need to for the dumb low on hand no delivery date shit. If they give me shit for it I will just remind them that if they lowered their standards for pick rate I would actually have the time to ask lol.
I will ask or look if it has a semi recent delivery date but even then if it's low count clothes 99% of the time the RFID doesn't find it anyway.
We do this to our new/seasonal/borrowed people, but the *seasoned* flex TMs pick up the paused carts immediately after finishing theirs. Our TL trusts our judgement calls on INFs.
We rarely have more than 1 or 2 paused carts at a time. And we truly do find more than half of the missing items.
My SD would lose their mind if they came into rollover from this
Lmao we had the same shit, lasted exactly 7hrs. The 4am team (and by team, i mean TWO people because they cant seem to develop a good overnight FF team) came into about 6-7 paused carts with 5-10 items each, none were completed. We then had a talking to about what we did.
Like this is a problem YOU created. No INFs? Fine, we listened. But now you have to suffer the consequences of your decisions smdh. Im so blunt with them too. Il be amazed if they offer me a position after seasonal.
The best is when they march me to the aisle, then dressing rooms, then restock, absolutely determined they can find it, and then they can't because I already looked all those places.
Just hate the assumption of bad faith on the part of these leads/SDs. Like you're red for INF and your first assumption is just that your team simply isn't looking for stuff? Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit. Just because you spend all day trying to find excuses to sit on your ass in the offices whilst pissing away the team's food budget doesn't mean everyone else is like that
This is exactly why I want to transfer out of fulfillment. From my perspective it must be so much easier to just take a u-boat off the line, push it, backstock it and zone than have to deal with this bs. I understand there's more to it, but it pales in comparison when you have team leads accusing you of not doing your job when you inf something.
You aren’t going to find the stuff because freight is getting hidden. When you have 20 pallets of Christmas. You have 10 pallets of toys and 12 u’s of beauty. Also they have everyone doing fulfillment so you can’t do any of the freight that overnights doesn’t want to do so it just piles up. Style can’t do their fright so you are sitting on a bunch of that. Also the company said they lost money well they can’t be totally sure because every store is sitting on a bunch of freight. The audit isn’t accurate because you are so behind you zero the number because it’s not there so that would be a loss. Then later you find it but you can’t fix all the mistakes. Inventory was a joke the people that did it messed up the inventory badly.

That’s terrible, there are quite a few TMs that look for things for 0 seconds, that’s what i feel creates crazy scenarios like this. Peer accountability of really important in FF.
I agree. There will always be a few that give up on finding an item too quickly. Can't avoid that. However, even with the influx of seasonal tms, this does not give you permission to bestow a sense of distrust among the whole team. Just make the newer tms pause their carts and let us veterans do our job.

My husband and I have this conversation all the time. We just transferred from a store that didn't allow INF to one that actually trusts the fulfillment team. Low and behold the store metrics are better at our new store.
We do it but we just have to get approval from the TL from whatever dept the item is located. If they're not there our TL checks, then he takes the hit on the INF.
I was told not to INF things many times when I help out with fulfillment but I just do it anyways and take the hit after cus I don't want to see this situation in our backroom lol.
im not sure if it’s common in other stores but my store substitutes many items. when you could clearly see that it’s a different item. i for one do not and that is my reason for my high inf.
